We bought this lock to keep the kids out of the office, so we needed something convenient, fast to use, and only relatively secure. We didn't expect to keep out burglars. This lock works perfectly. Here's why:1. The fingerprint reader is fast, reliable, well-placed, and easy to use. We have another fingerprint lock elsewhere which requires you to hold your finger in exactly the same orientation each time. This one is much more flexible. While it won't work if your finger is even a little bit wet, most of the time it works very well. I do believe that if you add too many fingerprints it can slow it down, but I have a good six or so saved and it works well.2. It looks good. It's true stainless steel. Even many of the screws, even interior screws, are stainless. You can tell because they are not magnetic. It says something that the manufacturer did not cut corners on the screws. The entire lock looks tough and professional.3. The battery lasts a long time. I've had it for about half a year and I don't think I've ever had to change the battery. Nevertheless, there is also an exterior micro USB port that can be used for powering the lock if the battery goes dry.4. It's versatile. There are keys for unlocking it if you want that option (the keyhole and charging port are hidden behind a little plate). You can set it to stay unlocked when you don't need it locked. You can program multiple users and multiple passwords alongside multiple fingerprints. You can also download logs that indicate when each user accessed the lock, but I haven't actually done that. You can also turn on and off the various beeps that it makes. Lastly, it's set up in such a way that it's easy to unlock and open the door with one hand when you're carrying something.The instructions aren't great, by the way, but it wasn't too hard to figure it out.Now, one little problem: my kids broke mine. They sometimes try to get to me by hanging on the handle, and today it finally broke inside. At first I couldn't even get back in, but being forceful I was able to click it back in place enough to open the door. I was also able to fix the problem inside it--it was tough, not something most people can do. From there it was clear that an internal part had been bent by the kids' misuse. I don't hold this against the manufacturer, though, because the inner components were sturdy and comparable in quality to other, big-name locks. The bent component seems to be from misuse, not poor construction. I sincerely doubt that any indoor lock would be entirely impervious to my children.I definitely plan to buy AIGURD again in the future.

First one came in, drilled the hole in the door, installed it, powered it up - NO LEDs! (??) Great! Amazon Customer Service is awesome as always and offered a next day replacement as usual (PRIME is worth it). Got replacement one in today, powered it up indoors before installing it and at least the LED's came on this time. Went out and installed it on a "fair" Florida day.. can't see the LED's at all in indirect sunlight, forget direct sunlight. Video is me taking it off the door and sitting inside my garage, as you can see you can barely make it out at all. Now that I've drilled a hole in my door, I'm stuck with it.. so I guess I'll have to enter new users at nighttime when I can actually see the screen. Very disappointed.UPDATE: After I got past entering finger prints in the dark, the handle actually functions well so far after a few months. However, this thing goes through (4) AAA batteries about once a month with only weekend use.. no joke.

I like the looks of this lock. Of course, that is always the most important. We just installed it which really wasn’t that difficult... but when I read the directions on how to set it up I almost wanted to cry. In fact, after trying to follow the direction my husband had to uninstall the whole mechanism so I could get to the reset button. I enjoy trying to figure things out on my own and wasn’t going to give up but YouTube was a life saver. After a short video I was able to set up the lock with no problem.. If you get this lock just watch the video.

Would give no stars on installation if I could. Bought 2 locks and over 3 hours of trying to program and still dont have it completed. Instructions horrible. Let me repeat horrible. I am pretty tech savvy. If I had not spent time installing I would return. It would be nice if they had a video or some web based instructions. I will say the look of the locks is very nice. I have countless hours trying to enter in codes for a second fingerprint. You would think it would get easier the more time you spent on trying to enter fingerprints and codes. It does not. Check out other locks before purchasing this one.

Ok, I really wanted to like it and even was thinking of ordering another one but literary the next day I had this thought the lock stopped working: no light, nothing. I changed the batteries (3 months after purchase) and it started to illuminate and function again, great, right?.... wrong, the next morning (less than 6 hours later ) it stopped working again, I changed the batteries again.... 4 hours later it died again...

I have used the lock for 3 weeks. Not a long time, but it is sufficient to write my first review. First of all, it works well for me. I feel satisfied very much. Now, I give it 5 stars for easy installation (I need to drill my door one time), build quality, and the simple setup process. It is my first fingerprint lock. The fingerprint reader works perfectly for me. But, it failed to read my wife fingerprint. I will try it again this month. So far, she still uses the code to get in which works flawlessly. So, we are happy so far. I didn't test the waterproof function because it is in my garage. the handler feels sturdy. I will update my review after one year of use!

I set this up last night on our carport door. Program a finger print for me, my wife and two daughters. tested it last night and it worked for everyone. This morning, it failed to recognize any fingerprints. Next when trying to use the keypad, I found it useless. The screen back lighting is so dim you can't see the numbers. Attached is a photo at 7:45am....and you can't hardly tell, but the number are illuminated in this photo.I will remove this and return it tonight.
