Samsung Battery Charger/Stand with Battery for Galaxy S3

Purchased this in Sep, 2012 for my then brand-new Galaxy S3, and I still use the charger and stand.I bought this for a couple of reasons - convenience and never having a dead battery.I didn't want to sit around, waiting for my phone to charge. I left the extra charger at work, to use whenever I needed it. The stand was small enough to be carried around with the extra battery in it. 7 ounces is lightweight enough, though it would be nice if it weighed less.The battery also has lasted more than two years, until recently when it seems to run out of power within a day, especially when I play games. I used it interchangeably with the Samsung battery that came with my phone, and I couldn't tell the difference. (I did not use NFC.)With this, I never had to worry about a dead battery and didn't feel tethered to a power outlet.Though my S3 works fine, I'm upgrading to the Note Edge, only because I want a larger screen size and will be looking for a similar charger with battery for the Edge.

One of the things i like most about my Samsung Galaxy SIII is that it has a removable battery. Sure, it gets great battery life on its own, but it's nice to have the reassurance that, even if i'm out in the middle of nowhere without a charging cable, i can just pull a fully charged battery out of my pocket and throw it in my phone, and i've got another 15+ hours. easier than a backup battery supply charger thing (and smaller).This item was just the ticket, a charger, a battery, and both made by samsung (genuine, with a very official looking holographic sticker on the box). I've had aftermarket batteries for other phones, i just couldn't resist the $5 price tag for them... but then one of them got so swollen i couldn't put the battery cover back on, and one of them wouldn't charge when the phone was plugged in... both got very hot when used. i have sworn to only use OEM batteries from now on. You should too, luckily i learned my lesson before one of them spontaneously burst into flame in my pocket or anything.tl;dr: this is nice, get it.

I bought two of these (got mine for $33 tho..) one for my galaxy s3 and one for my husbands. I see other reviews that the indicator light doesn't change when fully charged but mine do. I charged the spare batteries it came with right away and after a couple hours the light changed from red to green and so far (about 16 hours - shut off over night-) the spare battery has been working great. This product does everything it says it does and with the battery life of the galaxy it's really a must have! And I have an extra micro usb charger, never hurts to have more than one of those! The only thing is my phone doesn't fit in the "stand" part because I have a case on it, but that's no issue!! I just wanted the charger..

Great holder for my phone on my desk. I thought it charged the phone while it sits in there but it does not do that -- as the title states - SPARE BATTERY CHARGER - obviously my bad. BUT this does come with a spare samsung battery (same exact battery model # that came with the phone). So I don't really need it to charge both at the same time. Regardless -- probably better it doesnt charge it so I'm not constantly charging/discharging everytime i pick the phone up to look at it.What else.. it has a changing LED that shows red when charging and green when charged -- very nice feature.But it.

Item arrived fast and is exactly what I was looking for. Genuine Samsung. Comes with a battery and it charges fast.The thing that I really like, is the charger holds the batter underneath a little door, so when the battery is all charged, you can just drop it in your bag, and you don't have to worry about it falling out. The charger acts like a little battery case for when you don't need it.The batter that comes with it contains an NFC chip, so you can use this battery with google wallet and still pay for things with your phone.Excellent job Samsung and Amazon. Recommended.

A simple item, but an essential one for the rechargeable batteries in my Samsung S III smart phone.The product comes with a charging stand and an extra battery. Because the batteries in my smart phone last only about one day, I have to use the charger each night. It charges rather quickly, and fully depleted batteries get fully recharged in minimum time. I highly recommend this reliable, easy to use charger. It works perfectly, and uses minimal electricity. An outstanding buy for the money.

I like this charger. Since I have a Otterbox case it does not fit in the stand so I just use it to charge the battery. Seems they should have made the stand in mind with a case on the phone. Much to expensive phone to carry it around without the case. Have had several friends crack their screens by dropping it without a case on it, their next ones all have cases now.

This is so much better than using a regular charger..My little charger port on my phone stopped working or my nephew stuck something in it and Verizon wanted me to buy a new phone! UMMMM NO!! So I took it upon myself to do it this route and its awesome..it even comes with a battery so I have two and I always have a 100% charged battery with no waiting!! LOVE IT!

The main reason I purchased the Galaxy S3 when it came out was for the replaceable battery, and this item just makes that feature all the better. I can leave this charging at my desk, and keep my phone on me my entire work day, and I don't need to be cautious of my battery useage as I'll always be able to go to my desk and swap out the depleted battery. No more tethering a battery pack and having hot pockets for hours through a day.The only gripe I have about this product is that it's a bit bulky, and it doesn't have any other functionality other then charging a battery and acting as a phone stand (The stand works great for me even with a case on) I would have loved to see a USB input. So that I could attach a charging cable through the battery charger, or to possibly use the thing as an external battery pack.

I bought this as a present, but had previously purchased one for myself from my airtime provider as part of a Samsung welcome kit when I first bought my Galaxy SIII phone. It looks smart, has a smooth gloss finish and quality feel, reminded me a little of the size and shape of a makeup compact, it slips into a pocket or handbag and gives a great backup if my battery runs out as well as housing the exhausted battery until you can charge it. The item does NOT come with a charger cable and the battery needs to be connected to the mains to charge the battery, rather than doing so from a USB port. I would also mention that if you have the official Samsung case with the flip front cover, then you can't stand the phone up on the unit in the portrait position unless you open the front flip cover. It will hold the phone OK in the landscape position though. That aside, I think it's a smart piece of kit and I'd have no qualms buying again as a gift for another person. The item arrived fairly quickly and in plenty of time for me to give to my son as part of his birthday present, so I'd recommend this seller.

I now have three batteries so that I can use the phone heavily during a day and not have to worry about needing to find a charging point. Music, making calls, sending texts, emails and surfing all consume lots of power. I needed to be able to charge up the batteries during the evening / overnight ready for the foray next day, or to charge up a depleted spare from my laptop if I have it with me. This little device is small, light and works effortlessly. I just wish it could alert me audibly when a battery is fully charged. The light changes colour, which I tend to miss and is not really enough of a signal that the job is done. Being greedy, I'd also like one that charges two batteries simultaneously.

Having a second battery is a great idea - however the design of this product does leave something to be desired. From the photo it hints that you can place the phone on the charger, where it will be charged - you can't.Its actual just a spare battery system with a charging system for the battery only. The use of it as a phone charger or even a phone stand is misleading (it falls over!).As a spare battery and charger for it then it great and worth having.

This helped to save an old Samsung S3 neo which I'd probably have thrown away as the charging port was broken (if I recall correctly a replacement port needs to be soldered into place).
