I think these are very over priced, but they work good, and I have been using them for years. Just ordered some more of these and the rubber is not nearly as soft as it used to be. I have had some older ones tear when unplugging, so maybe that is why. These should cost 20% of what they do, but they do work.

I do both a Halloween yard haunt as well as Christmas display on my lawn. I had an issue where water got into some of the extension cord connections and tripping the upstream GFCI outlet. I started to use a variety of other products and even going as primitive as wrapping electrical tape around where the plugs connect. That worked but left a mess of sticky adhesive when removing the tape to disconnect. I tried to make my own gaskets (similar to this product) using a thin layer of foam. It wasn't pretty and worked but took way to long and I had a lot of plug connections to protect . I saw these silicone gaskets but held off because I felt they were just too expensive. After another year of experiencing issues, I caved and just ordered it. They are very flexible which makes it both easy and a bit challenging to install them over the plug, but they absolutely work and work well. They seem to do the trick because I ran into no issues the first year I used them. I only purchased the 50 pack and needed more so I order another set. Yes, they are expensive but they do work. Like many other times in life...you get what you pay for. I would both recommend and purchase again if needed.

Overpriced for what it is (elasticized power plug gasket), but I'm using them for connecting outdoor LED string lights. No issues so far (timer has GFI and circuit breaker).

Helps to keep extension cord and string light junctions weather-protected, so there are no GFCI trips related to weather.If you use these at each and every junction, and you continue to have trips, you are either overloading the circuit, or have a breach somewhere other than at a junction.GREAT TIP: Put one of these on a 2-prong child safety outlet protector, and plug it into the end of the last string light, or end-of-run sockets, so they are water tight too !

These silicone gaskets are great for protecting plug connections. We use ours for outdoor Christmas decorations and for an electrically heated birdbath that is out all winter in rain, freezing rain, snow and ice conditions in New England with the cord hanging down and subjected to all the weather and wet. Obviously you can't use them to keep water and moisture out of a plug connection if the plug will end up in standing water---like on the ground---but are great for plugs hanging out in the elements or on snowy bushes and during all kinds of wet rainy weather.

These WORK. You don’t need to worry about tripped circuit breakers with these. Make sure you wrap TIGHTLY electrical tape around the connectors. It is going to help to reinforce their weatherproofing abilities even more and will keep them connected if they get yanked or if there is too much wind. Buy these. You will not be sorry. Always get more than you need. You can use these year round but I would change them out seasonally.

5 Stars for product itself, 2 stars for the price. These work great and so far my breakers haven't kicked off in the rain (I run a LOT of Christmas lights), however I also replaced my outside electrical outlets with quality weatherproof boxes. These are a gummy super soft gel so long at the connection is good they'll keep the water out. Unfortunately product is patented as reflected in the price ($1 each for a little piece of silicon), but bottom line they do the job... believe me have looked for a similar product for less money but just none out there, so hopefully these will last a long time.

We had a lot of rain this Christmas and my GFCI kept tripping. With these in place, the GFCI stopped tripping completely even in constant rain and mild temperatures.

So soft and supple it’s amazing. These are the real deal and will compress between connections to provide a great seal. I was concerned before ordering that these might be really firm, but I had nothing to worry about, they are ideal. Well thought out and designed.
