Kikkerland USB Battleship (US007)

I bought 3 of these for my 3 iMacs. Saves me from having to go behind my Macs to plug in devices. I like the form factor too.

I like the fact that I can plug into this device as I have limited USB plugs on my lap top. The Kikkerland USB Battleship gives me the flexibility I need at a reasonable price!

I opened it and plugged it in the USB port. The computer said a defective device was connected and it has been locked out. I tried another computer with the same result.The battleship looks cute, but don't waste your money.

Bummed. This was supposed to be a gift and the package arrived cracked and broken. The product looks OK, but was unable to gift it as intended and haven't tried it myself to see if it still works.

It may look good, but it has definite chinks in its armor.To begin with it was not compatible with my  WD My Book 2TB External Hard Drive Storage USB 3.0 File Backup and Storage , even though it only needed a data connection because for power its AC adapter plugs into the wall, yet a much cheaper  Kikkerland US006 USB Hubman, white  was. The same was true of a number of different USB devices. Now, I could understand it failing the test in the case of a pure power application like the  USB Soldering Iron , but even there the Kikkerland "Battlecruiser" was invariably the weakest of any hub I tried.However, just as with the "battlecruiser" concept itself, there is evidence supporting a contrarian position. In this case I recently acquired a marvelously useful  Goal Zero (21013) Switch 10 USB Recharger and Solar Panel Multi-Tool Kit . One of the things that makes the Switch 10 so versatile is that it can accommodate screw on attachments that turn it into a flashlight or a fan with pass-through capability (so it can run while plugged in as well as off its battery). Unfortunately, Goal Zero did not see fit to include any sort of a mount so if you want to use it as a desk fan you can either hold it in your hand the entire time or jerry-rig something. Using this boat hub to both power it through the Switch 10's bottom USB port (the middle hub port works best) and stabilize it at the same time is an excellent start to such a homebuilt desk mount. Then, just stick something like a  Flexible Swivel Twist Angle 360 Degree Rotating USB 2.0 Adapter  in the hindmost hub port, and you've got a stable desk fan, blowing air directly over the stern.

Got it for my mom as birthday present (she loves battleship) and her work is on a computer and she said it couldn't have been a better gift for her. she always complains about all the usb stuff she has to use so i thought why not?one small detail worth mentioning though, the USB ports on the ship are kinda tight but they WILL fit if you muscle it a little

This was a gift for my boyfriend and he loves it! It works perfectly and looks a lot cooler than a regular hub.

I bought this for Father's Day. My Dad thought it was excellent. It works perfectly and looks good. It's a fun and quirky gift and I recommend it to others.

This a great piece of design. The functionality is in top too. Looks good on my desk! I recommend it.
