The Tamper’s 58.4mm diameter fits a VST basket exactly and other features make it light and easy to use and eliminate vacuuming. Made with military-spec type III hard anodised aluminium with a 304 stainless steel flat base, the Barista Hustle Tamper is durable but lightweight to minimize fatigue. And because a tamper’s lifespan is bound to include a few run-ins with the floor, the base is easily replaceable.
- Eliminate vacuuming: Suction sucks. The double flange between the base and top slope of the handle eliminates the vacuum created by a traditional thick piston face to reduce channeling and provide a more stable puck for extraction.

Furthermore, at only 250 grams, our tamper makes regular tampers feel like an axe, and you’ve just upgraded to a scalpel. A less cumbersome tamper also means less repetitive strain on the body.
- Keep it pristine: We added features to ensure this tamper lasts for a long time. First off, we made the base replaceable. Instead of replacing the entire tamper after a scratch or a ding, you can easily replace the base with a cheap spare. Additionally, we send the tamper in a zip up case to ensure it's protected as you store or move it.
