This is a highly-informative book, well conceived and well written. The photos are charming, and there is an abundance of very useful commentary. I had seen it in a pet shop beforehand which caused me to buy it via Amazon.com. Readers will surely be impressed with Dr. Rice's compassion and feelings for the Pug -- which certainly is one of the most engaging, sweetest breeds that an potential owner could take home. I think any Pug enthusiast would be happy to have this book on his or her book shelf.

It also comes with a training DVD.Review: This book does a great job of explaining the breed, all the stages of life, and problems associated with this breed. The information is clear and provides enough detail without becoming overwhelming. The book is broken down into sections that follows the entire life of the dog with extra tips and awesome pictures of pugs throughout the book. There are also tips on how to train your dog with step-by-step photos with explanations. I recommend this book to anyone who is thinking about getting a pug because it does a good job letting a potential pug owner know what they are getting into.
