Making Dolls' House Furniture in 1/12th Scale

Having discovered Julie on YouTube I fell in love again with miniatures after being frustrating and walking away from the craft years ago. I’ve purchased this and another book and between the books and videos I’ve learned so much about my mistakes and how to prevent them. Full of a lot of tutorials and great tips for every level of miniaturist. Regarding some comments about sizes being off, I think it’s because of differences in imperial and metric. It’s truly easier to work in millimeters as it’s a nice easy measurement without the varying lines like 1/16, 1/32, 1/64 etc. Included in the books are a great supply list to have in your toolbox and easy to follow directions with pictures for each item. I love that while pieces are grouped by style it’s easy to mix and match pieces for a truly custom designed miniature room. Julie is also wonderful about answering questions (contact info in the books) and also has an Etsy shop where you can order supplies and various items to make beautiful true to scale 1/12 miniatures. I wish I’d found her and these books years ago!

I just got into miniatures/dollhouse about six months ago. After building a dollhouse (Real Good Toys), it then became my challenge to furnish it. I can’t afford the best and did not like the cheap stuff. I ordered Julie Warren’s book after reviewing her on You Tube. I was hoping to be able to create quality furniture to scale. I am a longtime DIY person so am familiar with the importance of quality. I am so happy with this book! I have made 3 items and working on the fourth. The instructions are excellent! I tend to use the metric system for cutting out the wood. This book is the best! The photo shows the table and hutch which turned out well. Thanks Julie!

I love this book, just received today. I can tell from past experience that these projects will be easy to complete. The author provides an excellent step by step instructions with pictures and tips. I can't wait to get started on some of them.

This book is so enjoyable, clear and concise instructions for making 1:12 scale dollhouse furniture. I have purchased 4 of Julie's books, I only wish I had more time to make all of the styles in her book! Received promptly, great condition and in secure packaging.
