LG Electronics 27MB85R-B 27-Inch Screen LCD Monitor

Best monitor I have owned. Granted, that isn't saying much really, but this thing is really nice. I wanted a 27" monitor with IPS and 1440p resolution capabilities and found this one lightly used at a fantastic price. It completely satisfies my photo work needs. I'm not a gamer so I could almost not care less about refresh rates and such. I am very satisfied with this purchase. It did also come with the LG color calibration tool however I have not yet had a chance to use it.Pros:~Nice, quality stand with height adjustment and rotation. Height adjustment is spring loaded so it moves easily up and down. Rotation is equally easy to maneuver.~Very good color reproduction (and a calibration tool comes as well!). There are monitors with greater color spectrum capabilities however the almost 100% RGB works for me and my needs.~Very bright, but not too bright.~Easy navigation and interface. This is a professional level monitor and there are certainly more calibration options than I'm used to, but the layout seems accessible.~The size is perfect for my medium-sized desk. 27" provides a lot of real estate!~1440p resolution produces a very sharp image for a monitor of this size. It is noticeably sharper (both text and images) than any of my 1080p monitors (even at their smaller sizes).~Virtually unnoticeable "IPS glow." It is faintly visible when the monitor first turns on (in the bottom corners) however it is not visible once the monitor is in use. The lighting and color appears very uniform across the entire screen.~No dead pixels.Cons:~None really (except maybe I should have bought it last year.)~It's not cheap, but you get what you pay for...

I have two of these, both are great, no dead pixels or significant uniformity issues... very low IPS glow. Great all purpose LCD. I use these for hobbyist photo and graphics work, and a fair amount of RPG, FPS, and RTS gaming.Factory calibration is nice, and the uniformity compensation works fairly well. Has the best response times of any 60hz IPS panel. Very low IPS glow, almost imperceptible unless in a completely dark room.The monitor is very bright. I use it in a dim room, and keep the brightness at 15/100. Sharpness should be set to 7 for most users... the factory setting of 5 is a touch fuzzy.The stand is good, very adjustable, and not particularly wobbly.I wish LG would remake it with Gsync, but the old fashioned method of vsync plus frame limiting works fine for me.

Excellent color and consistency of the panel, works perfect with DVI DL in a Mac Pro 3.1.The options menu is well rounded.Image quality is like or better than a iMac 27 2013.Unfortunately come with 2 cluster stuck pixel, that is unacceptable for a panel that came with calibration report from factory.Thanks

LG advertises this monitor as Mac compatible...most sellers copy the LG info onto their own sites. THIS MONITOR IS NOT FULLY MAC COMPATIBLE. IF YOU ARE A MAC USER DO NOT BUY THIS MONITOR! ESPECIALLY NOT FROM ANTONLINE...who refused to take it back despite the false advertising. The monitor will work with a MacBook Pro Retina (circa 2013) and the screen will look gorgeous. BUT...most of the features like the USB hubs, the reading mode, the split screen etc. will not work on a Mac without the supposedly downloadable software. LG does not make Mac software for this monitor...so many of the great features are useless. So incredibly frustrated by all of the misleading information out there about this monitor. Shame on LG and shame on vendors that won't back up a customer despite false information on their website!

Perfect size and resolution for a couple windows at same time, or editing photos in Lightroom / Photoshop :)

This is an amazing monitor ... color is equivalent to the Surface Pro 3! Awesome ...equivalent but with much larger images of course! So cool. MAJOR DRAWBACK, this thing is not "touch" enabled.What is the point of all that beauty if you can't touch it?
