ISM Typhoon Bicycle Saddle Bike Seat All Black

I have had problems with perineal numbness during long rides for a long time. I heard about these on some forums and decided to try it out for myself on my road bike. I've been riding on this saddle for about a season and I'll tell you, it works for me! It has made all the difference in the world. I have no numbness with this saddle even on century rides or greater. I still get saddle sore (some discomfort) after that many hours but that is expected. I DO NOT have pain or numbness any longer.The positioning of this saddle is a little different than a traditional saddle. The nose doesn't protrude under the perineum so it feels like you are riding a little too far forward but this is normal. Also, I did have some soreness on my sit bones due to the new position of the saddle compared to a traditional saddle but my body was able to adjust to this very quickly. I personally like to level the seat about perpendicular to the ground. This lets me place my sit bones on the saddle and the two horns on the nose help to keep my bottom in place while climbing or descending. Some have complained that their inner thy rubs on the horns but I found that with a proper fit this was not an issue for me.I'll also say that I did try the ISM Adamo Road Saddle as well. I found that there was too little padding one the Adamo Road and I felt pain on my sit bones after riding for many hours. I don't feel this pain with the Adamo Typhoon.This is a great saddle. I highly recommend it if you have any numbness while riding. I think I'll try the ISM Mountain Saddle next on my mountain bike.

I've put about 250 miles on this saddle since getting it. That includes one ride of over 50 miles and a bunch in the 15-20 mile range. It helps a lot with the pain and numbness caused by the compression of the perineum area. There's no pressure on that area at all. However, there is increased pressure on the "sit bones". That takes some getting used to.This is a big improvement over the original saddle that came with my Trek FX 7.2. With that one, I had a lot of trouble with pain and numbness. The longer the ride, the worse the problem was. Those exact symptoms haven't happened at all with this saddle.I had a problem with the saddle squeaking after a few miles. I contacted both the vendor (Gotta Ride Bikes) and the manufacturer (ISM Saddles). The vendor got back to me within a few hours and the manufacturer got back to me shortly after that. The manufacturer immediately sent me a replacement and I returned the squeaky one. The replacement is completely quiet. I was very happy with the response of both the vendor and the manufacturer and would do business with both of them in the future.

Update July 2015: 'Fraid I have to change my review and switch it from 5 stars to one. The saddle is too wide in the front and hurts my inner thigh. Didn't notice it at first but it became more and more manifest, so I removed it.Very good bike saddle. Some people say there might be a problem controlling the bike with your body due to the lack of the saddle point. I have found that to be no problem at all. I am very happy with this saddle.

I think a saddle is a very personal thing. This review should not be taken as a negative in terms of the quality of the seat as it is built very well and I am sure would be great for some people. For me, the seat was smaller than I was expecting and the style of the seat with the opening in the front makes the nose of the saddle wider than I expected. This is my first experience with a seat like this, but I think for now I will stick with the seat that came with my bike. It has a narrow nose and is plenty comfortable for me.

too wide, really uncomfortable, maybe Im not being fair with the 2 stars review cause it could be good for other body type, but for me, it didnt work.

For the men,This seat is by far the best seat I have ever used. I've tried many seats and I've always thought that I would have to deal with the pain unless I stopped riding. I never wanted to stop riding so I decided to give another seat a try. I'm so glad that I've tried this seat!! It's so comfortable and no pain after a 50 mile ride!!!! I used to feel numbness in my feet occasionally and now all of it is gone. This seat is the answer to all my problems about cycling.For the Women,I decided to buy a total of 3 seats, 1 for me, 1 for my girl that really wants to share the experience with me and one for my mother that already rides on a daily basis. They both complain about their private parts hurting so much from the uncomfortable seats. My mother just sucked it up and thought she also had to deal with the bad while trying to enjoy her ride.My girl just bought her a nice road bike to ride with me and the first couple of times we went out, she began to dislike riding because of all the pain she had to deal with while riding with me. They both said that they're sore for days and its even worse when they shower!!!If I wanted my girl to ride with me and have another great experience we have in common I knew something had to be done so I researched, and researched, and researched and finally........ I found the ISM Adamo Typhoon. After so many reviews I've read and 1 review that really stuck out for the women I decided to go for it. It's like heaven for both my mother and my girlfriends parts!!!! They both love the seat and don't ever want to try a different one anytime soon. So ladies.... Don't be afraid to try this seats out, I'm sure you'll love it just like the 2 women I bought this seat for.

Der Sattel ist viel zu hart, fühlt sich an wie ein Stück Hartplastik, das Körpergewicht lastet auf gefühlten 1cm^2 pro Sitzknochen, die reine Folter beim fahren. Zudem ist der Sattel sehr klein von der Sitzfläche her, sodaß man auch keine alternative Sitzposition findet. Für mich absolut unbrauchbar. Ich werde ihn verkaufen, da ich leider die Rückgabefrist verpaßt habe.Immerhin funktioniert die Entlastung im vorderen Bereich, sodaß einem die Genitalien nicht mehr einschlafen. Dafür der zweite Punkt.
