Perfect Inserts Every TIme. Easy to Use.
While it is ideal building electronics and computerized machines, I love the kit's ability to repair broken items and add components to your existing work setup. It's fairly intuitive to use, but as with anything there may be a bit of a learning curve. I found working at a lower temperature gives you more time to properly sink in the nut. There's no need to rush the process. I also quite enjoy that you don't have to wait around for 10 minutes for the tool to heat up. Plug in, turn on, and you're good to go in about 60 seconds. Be mindful of your grip, it can be easy to bump the temp dial and turn 300º up to 450º without noticing you're moving the knob. ProTips: Use a heat-proof mat to work on. Use a tool rest, this tool is as hot as a soldering iron. Start on a lower temperature, and let the heat/time do the work. Use VERY light pressure.

This kit is a great value and has everything you'll need to securely insert threads into your 3D printed projects. "Soldering" iron has temperature setting to correspond with your material and after initial warm-up, allows you to insert the brass inserts effortlessly.
