Oster Microwave Oven, 1.6 cu. ft, Stainless Steel/Black

I purchased this microwave oven as a Christmas present for a family member and the problems started as soon as it was put to use. The clock would randomly switch between regular and military time. The unit would not shut off during some cycles unless it was unplugged from the electrical outlet. The exhaust fan in the oven ran for excessively long times after cooking was completed. The oven came on spontaneously late one evening. When a pair of microwave safe hand-warming mitts were placed in the oven, it burned a hole through both of them. The glass turntable had a small area that became so hot during any cooking cycle it was too hot to touch. Sometimes food being cooked would pop nosily from microwave heat that seemed to be focused in one area. I would NOT recommend this model to anyone based on the erratic performance. I returned the oven for a refund.

PROS- It's a microwave with a lot of space.CONS- No visible way to turn off beeping; I still don't know if there is a way. I'm a night owl, so I prefer electronics to shut the F up when I use them.- It has something like a 50% chance to stay on, like it's in Overheat mode, even if you only cooked/heated something for a minute. You have to actually unplug the microwave to fix this. Annoying.- It might just be me, but the Power setting doesn't seem to work. No apparent way to get it to save the setting you set for it.

This microwave works, but it is annoying. You can't put in a specific time. There are 6 speed settings and then you can add time to that by hitting the start button (30 second increments). So if you want to cook something for 15 minutes, you can click the 6 to get 6 minutes, but then have to hit the start button 16 times to get it to the full 15 minutes. Super annoying. Been through the manual and all the settings with no luck. It heats things well though and I like that it beeps every few minutes if you've forgotten something in there.

My antique microwave finally died. I went with this because it's still larger on the inside than what you see in stores. I like the quick cook features. I've had it about a month and it's working great.

The product took some getting used to as far as how to set the clock and set cooking time, but once you figure that out you will love this microwave! Very powerful! I suggest reducing cooking time by 15 to 30 seconds on anything you cook in the microwave due to its power.

This microwave never worked right from the day it was plugged in. Unfortunately, I bought it as a gift several months before needed, so by the time we found out it was a piece of junk, it was to late to send it back. Tried to get by with it for a few months, but when it nearly burned the house down, that was the last straw!

Mirco wave did not work had to return

It continues to run after the food is removed, making a noise. Does not have easy instructions and is more complicated than any other microwave I have used! Would not buy again!
