High Quality Terrific Product for the Price!
Unlike other reviewers, my Masterbuilt smoker arrived without mishap. I found the packaging to be very robust but can see how a shipping company could mishandle the smoker and damage it. The packaging is durable enough for any carrier if they treat it normally. That said, I couldn't blame the manufacturer for damage caused by mishandling.Assembly required some intuitive mechanical ability as the instructions for assembly were pictures with no descriptive text. The only tools necessary are a #2 Phillips screwdriver and a 10mm wrench. Assembly can be easily completed by one person with the exception of one last part that requires either one person with long arms or 2 people. The quality, fit and finish are of very high quality. All sharp edges are hidden once fully assembled. The cabinet is un-insulated with the exception of the door, which is insulated. All major components are made from sheet metal painted with high temperature paint with the exception of those parts that contact food or waste which are made of stainless steel. One peculiar quirk with this smoker is that it will not start if the ambient temperature is below 50 degrees Fahrenheit. That can be quickly rectified by heating the interior with a hair dryer or a tray of burning wood shavings. While the control unit has the ability to monitor 2 food temperature probes, the unit is shipped with 1 probe. Finally, I discovered that the smoker uses copious quantities of pellets. Operating the smoker at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 3 hours consumes almost 12 pounds of pellets. Of course, when smoking at 200 degrees Fahrenheit the smoker will use less.Overall, for the price and features, I am VERY satisfied with my Masterbuilt smoker.

good smoker
I love the smoker, but I had a problem with getting the smoker. I had to have amazon reorder the smoker in order to get it to use it. The instructions are very hard to understand because it is only pictures and no words.I do love all the figure and the temp probe, Overall I am happy about what I bought.

Cumbersome to use.
This smoker is so disappointing, I'm seriously considering going back to my charcoal one. The company sent me a second meat probe because the first one came up with an error when I tried to use it. But aside from that, you have to set it up exactly the way you want it and you can't make any changes without turning it off and completely starting over. For example, you can't adjust the temperature during cooking. If you see something isn't cooking quite as fast as you want it to, on other smokers, you can do stuff to bump the temperature up a bit. On this one if you make any changes, the thing just shuts off the burner and quit altogether. I tried talking to the company, and after multiple times on endless holds, I finally talked to someone who acted like they had no clue what I was talking about. The other thing is, the way the hopper is made, the pellets stay piled up around the sides while making a tunnel down the middle. If you don't remember to go out every so often and adjust the pellets, the flow will stop and then you go out to find you have a cold smoker. That has happened to me twice--and with fresh pellets. It's the way the thing is made. I really don't like it, but I guess I'm stuck with it. It wouldn't be a bad price for the thing if it worked the way it was supposed to.

Looking good/ and even better almost a year later
Arrived in perfect condition. Simple instructions easy to follow, if you have ever put together a Lego kit it's like that. Took me a little less than an hour to complete. Fit an Finnish seem good. I just got it and have not cooked with it yet so I cannot coment on how well it cooks, however, I will update once I have the opportunity. But first impressions are 5 star good.UPDATE: Almost 1 year later and this is a great smoker maintains great temp within 5 degrees of set temp easy to clean and maintain. Good size can fit a lot of meat I have recommended this smoker and pellet smokers/grills in general to many people

How to return a large item that came damaged.
Smoker never worked, was dented and missing a wheel. Trying to resolve with Masterbuilt, they sent me a replacement part but it did not work. Code 4 is not listed in the manual. Doesn't deserve a star from me.
