Blue Bloods - Season 3 [DVD]

Well this is very impressive. A complex series with many strands running through each episode. The work of every department is of the highest standard. Also there are elements that are extra to any job description{ excellent taste, flair, sensitivity. My favorites? The scenes between Tom Selleck and Len Cariou. They speak the words beautifully and build up their scenes together absolutely perfectly, leaving one aware of two charming men who have lead amazingly rich lives and have enjoyed every minute. Oh, and the car work - the chase scenes and the crashes - they are spectacular.

Just discovered Blue Bloods and now on season 3watching on Prime - season 10 now playing on TV so I am a little annoyed that Prime are charging full price for these old seasons, surely by now they should be free to watch. Feel like I am paying twice, pay for Prime membership and still have to pay to watch certain programmes, bit of a rip off really.

This is the best series to come out of the cop shows for a long time. The excitement and danger of the daily duties of a family in the police force and lawyer daughter, with the rivalry between siblings is very well done.All the characters fit well and come across as very believable. Tom Selleck is brilliant as usual, as the level headed Police Commissioner and father. Trying to raise his large Irish family on his own with only the advice of their grandfather and former Police Commissioner to keep his head strong family together and safe.This has ALL the attributes required of a good seasons viewing and a long running series,family unity,danger some violence but not overly done and excellent writing. This is one for the future dark nights of winter viewing and highly recomend it!

Having only watched trailers of this series, I purchased this purely on the appearance of Tom Selleck. I was pleased that because of the price that I took a chance. A thoroughly enjoyable series full of mystery and a good insight into the workings of a NY Police Commissioner, and his family, the interactions between the characters and the top class performances of each of the main actors made it an all round bargain. Difficult to resist the urge to watch continuously.

Well done Amazon. We now have Blue Bloods and NCIS. Excellent. Will be back for more series as we go along.

This ongoing family and police drama is peerless. Every actor is superb and the storyline exciting and always interesting. This series manages to keep the values of old fashioned family loyalty, Christian faith and riveting police/political drama balanced and compelling. Tom Selleck is extremely effective.
