Good but overpriced
I first bought the yurbuds with the audio control built into the cord. I was initially impressed, until I ran with them, sweated on them, and the controls malfunctioned. They did not live up to the advertising. But I was impressed enough with the fit that I returned them and ordered these. They have served well the last several months. As for fit, I think everyone has different ears. I have gone through about 5 sets of earphones, and before buying each I read the reviews. Always the reviews disagree, some think they fit, and others say they are the most uncomfortable ear pieces ever made. For me, theses earphones definitely fit. Very comfortable for long periods. I run at least an hours when I go, and these always feel good. In addition, they are not sound isolating so I can hear bikers come up behind me on the trails. Most importantly, my apparently caustic sweat has not caused these earphones to die (yet). This is the first set I have been able to use for an entire workout without sweat building up and plugging the little speakers. With others, after about 30 mins I have to give up, and let them dry out until the next run. I think the design of these, with the little "trumpets' keeps the sweat from wicking up into the works of the speaker. So they always work.I do with there was a set with a shorter cord for use with an armband. The real drawback is the price. There is nothing special about these earphones. They are $5 wonders with a special silicone earpiece that probably costs 10 cents. The packaging is nice. But $50 is too much. Also the color. Sort of a washed out red. The vibrant red on the pair with the controls was much cooler looking. These look like an old tshirt that has been through the wash 20 times with hot water.Overall though, I recommend them as a basic earphone that works well when no other has for my long sweaty workouts.MattUpdate: Have used these earphones for quite a while now and they continued to work very until last week. The connection at the plug in wore and became cracked so that I got sound only out of the right earbud. I guess that would probably happen to just about any earphone wire that gets wrapped up and stuck in a gym bag several times/week so I'm not too upset about that. Due to the high price, I looked around for a cheaper replacement and settled on the Philips ActionFit, for $14 Philips ActionFit SHQ1000/28 In-Ear Headphones Tuned for Sports . Similar design. Ran 12 miles yesterday in Atlanta summer heat and 7miles today. Humid, lots of sweat, and they continued to work without a problem. I would recommend the Philips over this pair. Both have lower quality sound, but I don't ask for much when I'm running, just don't want them to clog up and short out from my sweat which so many other earphones have. And they are comfortable--of course that is subjective since everyone has different ears. Good luck in finding the right buds for you.

Yurbuds Ironman vs. Sennheiser CX 680
I recently needed a new set of earphones because the ones that came with my IPOD finally stopped working. I decided to look for an upgrade, I really only use my IPOD to run so I thought I should look for ones specially designed for runners. Little background, I run about 3 to 4 miles outside four to five times a week, and I do this with my 2 dogs on a leash. As you can imagine, the last thing I can afford to think about are my earphones. I did not have problems with my IPOD phones falling out usually, no issues with excessive sweating, but I never liked the length of the cord becasue I wear my IPOD in an armband on my left arm. That is why I leaned toward the Sennheisers initially, the cord has an extender so you can go from 2 ft to 4 ft. I figured 2 ft is perfect for me. I also figured there was no way that I would have an issue with them staying in, between the adjustable sizes and the earfins, I should be able to find a combo that worked for me.I was wrong. The Sennheisers, while very nicely packaged and good quality, just didn't work for me. I tried every combination of sizes and cord lengths and I could not get these to stay in my ears. Even worse, when they were in, I constantly felt they were about to fall out. They were uncomfortable and frankly all I thought about during my runs with them. They also had this annoying echo, and I felt like I heard every step and every swish of the cord in my ears. I had to turn my music up loud to cover the noise, which I don't like to do when I'm running outside. The 2 ft cord length actually annoyed me than anything else, becasue now it was too short to thread through my shirt, which is what I used to do with my IPOD phones and too long to let it hang loose. So I decided to try the Yurbuds Ironman. They have this twist lock technology that promises they won't fall out and are also supposedly designed by athletes, about the same price as the Sennheisers on Amazon. What a difference! Even though the buds seem so much bigger then the Senneheisers, once they were in, I didn't think about them again. The cord is definitely long and not adjustable, but it was pretty much a non issue for me. And no echo! Both sets of earphones have about the same level of sound quality, both good construction and packaging. I think earphones are a very personal decision and I read lots of reviews before I purchased either one, but the Yurbuds never fell out and were very comfortable in my ears and for me, the Sennheisers just didn't work, no matter what I did.

Now convinced they're good after several uses
Went out for first run in them today. After trying them out on the ipod last night, decided to go with the larger size cover.Firstly, I think they're an older model of the phone as the ones on the yurbuds site do look different and have the magnetic link for storage. http://yurbuds.com/en/in-the-ear/16inspire-duro.html#/color-black These definitely aren't those even though name is the same.Having now worn them in anger, the stay put does work well and no sign of them shifting at all. Right ear not most comfortable, however I think I just need to fine tune the adjustment.Nice and loud, which if you're using phones mean you probably want the music to keep you going. I don't think they're best for sound quality, which isn't a major issue but they're still £40 so I'd expect a bit better.I've gone for these specifically for the capability to handle sweat and durability, so the fabric cord was a key point for me.I will update this review after more uses so I'm not just giving the knee jerk reaction. It may be that I should have chosen the Venture Duro instead. Guess time will tell, if these work well and last a while, perhaps I'll got to them next.*****UPDATED*****Having now used these weekly for running, they're proving their value. I run 2-3 times a week, each time taking these out with an older iPod Nano (Small square type with touchscreen). Sound quality decent enough, volume enough to keep you going and the fit is great, they really do hold position and would take some serious tugging to be able to pull them out. Construction is good and the cabling seems to eb good quality, where a normal plastic cable would become weak and split over time.Have also now bought the bluetooth versions after finding a very good offer online, which I use for gym and skipping as the ipod would drop out of pockets from the movement.Definitely would recommend a purchase but check if new model is available first.

... have been searching for a long time for the perfect gym headphones and think this is it
I have been searching for a long time for the perfect gym headphones and think this is it. Features I really love about this product are:-1. The cordThe cord is made of a material finish rather than a wire which means when it catches on your skin it doesn't stick. Also the cable is easy to stop from getting tangled together. There is no volume control on the cord. I view this as a positive thing. Often with other headphones, the volume control would get sweat on it and my ipod would then sometimes malfunction. Less is more, I've no problem with changing the volume on the ipod, in the unlikely event I need to use it. The cord plugs fine into my ipod and iPhone and is at a slight angle which I hope adds to its longevity.2. The ear budsThe ear buds have a rubberised feel and the box came with some alternative buds. With the first ones the fitting didn't feel quite right so I swapped them out for the bigger ones. These fit absolutely great. I've had 20 odd sessions so far and can honestly say these never came close to falling out and feel snug and secure. They don't sit next to your ear canal rather than inside it which has pros and cons. The cons are that this means it doesn't block out all noise around you. The pros are that you don't get a bumpy noise in your ear when you're running. Also it means that sweat won't pool into your ear canal and then get blocked in there by the bud. I've found these the most comfortable and neatest fitting bud so far for all sorts of activity including running. Hearing ambient noise around you is also useful if you are out and about.3. SoundThe mid and high range is fantastic with very clear sound. The bass is maybe slightly less bouncy than I've had with other headphones, but this is because it's not fitted right in your ear canal. For gym headphones these are the best I've heard so far and as sweat drips freely around the shape of the bud you won't get noise blocking from sweat in your ears.4. LongevityWill report back on this. Look like they'll stand a lot of use, time will tell.5. AppearanceThey look cool and they're called Iron Man. What more do you want?Well done Yurbuds - finally a manufacturer producing a decent set of gym headphones!

Yurbuds
Been using for 4 months. Yes they stay in. Do not block outside noise, intact on a windily day you here wind whistling thro. That isn't to diss these, great headphones. Clip works well, after trying in various ways, I prefer cable on my back to ears, with the clip on the neck of my running top, cable down back of top and out at neck to arm band, stuff excess down side of arm band. Sound good, and does not tangle!

Bit large for ladies ears
They definitely wont fall out, but not that loud - doesn't block any sound (but it does say in the description that it allows ambient noise through so its safer for running etc) Pretty good on the most hand, just very large - if you're a lady would recommend getting the womens ones just so they're smaller and better fit.

Extremely good earbuds for running or any sports activities
Extremely good earbuds for running or any sports activities. Very good and firm fit inside the ear, never needed to adjust them while running. Cable long enough (maybe too long) to keep my MP3 in my pocket.Sound quality is not that good though, but for my purposes are just perfect!
