Be a Pokemon Master.
This product is ok if you play any RPG style games. Pokemon being the best game for the gameshark. Who wants o travel (or pay for their kids trip) accross the country to attend a Nintendo convention to get one or two pokemon only obtainable through the event? Especially when you could dish out $30 instead of $400 to just do it right in the comfort of your own home?Final Fantasy is also another series that clicks well with this device.Parents, are you frustrated with hearing your kids scream and get upset over not being able to play the game without loosing? This device will help them surpass their trials and saves you the frustrated tearfilled child, and grants you a moments peace.

Cheaters!
Listen up, if you cheat like crazy when it comes to gameboys like me, you're in luck. Very well organized, simple to use, and helps a lot. When I bought it it was inexpensive, so that was good too. It is pretty sturdy, but if you pull the GBA cartridges out too often, the metal prongs on the inside bend and wont read your games anymore, that is why I gave it 4 stars because I had to buy a second one. So if you are gentle with it, like I am now, it's a really good and handy item.

touchy but works well.
It's just like how I remembered and it works the same too. im just not giving it 5 stars because i had to program all the codes i wanted since they were deleted by the prior owner.i got the black madcatz version. something important to note is that this version is touchy so be careful if you do a lot of game swapping.

A little Advice
As some may tell you, beware as their is a limited number of codes allowed per game, i have to buy another one because it completely crashed and wont even start up anymore. it worked out very well at the start, user friendly and did everything i asked it for. but now its just a piece of junk that doesnt work for me anymore because i went over the 5 code limit. although entering codes manually worked out fine, the preloaded codes are the issue. think before you buy as you may end up in my situation.

Do Not Buy This!
My son took a chance on this even though I warned him about the negative reviews. He said since I was not buying it used he may have better luck with a new one.WRONG! He said it started out fine, and he even followed the directions but after the second day when he turned on his SP, it would not work anymore. He said the Gameshark broke his SP and he wanted his money back but on his receipt it said NO RETURNS. His hard earned money went down the drain. One thing for sure, you do not get what you pay for! DO NOT BUY THIS! DO NOT TAKE THE CHANCE ON RUINING YOUR SP! THIS IS A PIECE OF GARBAGE!

Take it from an experienced gamer.
I've had about four years of experience with gamesharks in the past, and this is one of the best ones I've had! This model (Madcatz Gameshark GBA Carabiner) is an improved design from the older boxier versions. I have been using this on my Final Fantasy Tactics Advance, and it is a huge timesaver! I would suggest though, that you be careful when using it. Some codes can have a high chance of possibly ruining your game and/or gameshark. I suggest looking up a gameshark guide on sites such as gamefaqs or ign to get more info on which codes are the safest to use.

It isnt that weak
Its a bit sturdier then some say it is. It is probably the last gameshark model made for the gameboy games. If you still like playing Gameboy games like me, and want codes for them, this is what you need to get.

White screen
When I would start it with the switch flipped to "on" all I ever get is a white screen where the GS logo should be, when the switch is flipped to "off" it works like it otherwise should, and the game boots up.
