A year or so back I tried an Acer Predator 240 hz monitor and I really liked it, however it was plagued with dead pixels, and for a 500+ dollar monitor I quickly returned it. But I did say that if a 240 hz monitor was ever offered in the future at a much reduced cost I would like to try again.Enter the Acer XF250Q! A 240 hz, 1 millisecond response monitor for less than 300. It looks great on pretty much every thing I try on it. It makes 60 hz monitors FEEL like 30 hz whenever I look back in hindsight or have to use 60 hz.The zero frame makes this monitor almost have no border at all. The on screen cross-hairs option can be added with 3 different cross-hairs. Very sturdy and attractive base, well thought out menu with options. And with G-sync for less than 300 dollars? Ding DIng Ding I think Acer has a winner here!I kinda missed out on the 144hz monitors so I can't honestly comment on the perceived difference of this 240 hz to those. But I can tell you it feels buttery smooth compared to 60 hz. I would like also to suggest this is teamed with an EVGA Nu Audio 32 bit 384 khz sound card for an even better and smoother over gaming experience.

Great purchase for the money. I'm a competitive gamer who also loves tech hardware, and this meets all my needs. The image clarity is high, the adjustable and rotatable stand is great (as with most other Acer monitors), and the thin bezel build looks incredibly sharp and clean compared to my other monitors. The audio quality is.....not phenomenal. It's not awful or anything, but you shouldn't be (and most likely aren't) buying this for its speakers.The jump from 144hz to 240hz isn't that large of a transition, but the difference is noticeable. Especially if you're playing competitively and pushing as many frames as you can get, it's very obvious how much smoother the picture is (and I get less screen tearing at high fps, ymmv). No real or noticable input lag, after using Nvidia Boost and their testing software.Overall I'm very pleased with it, and the XF250Q is now my primary monitor for the foreseeable future, with my XFA240 serving as a secondary.

I play rocket league.... A LOT! I'm a Champ 3 in the game (which is very, very good) and this monitor was a MUST buy for me; it drastically improved my game play (namely dribbling and flicks). First off, it is a true 240hz monitor. My AMD Radeon settings confirms this and I can very easily see the difference when playing at 120hz vs 240hz.. Also, the colors are beautiful! The biggest color improvement I noticed from my upgrade was in the darker lights. I would have preferred to get a 27in screen, however, this was by FAR the biggest bang for my buck ( and yours too!) that you will find at 240hz. I would have had to pay over TWICE (purchased for $230) what I did to get those couple extra inches... There is also almost no bezel and the Display cord is provided!! What a steal! And I can use freesync with this when I play PUBG (as I don't get as many fps on there) to eliminate tearing. Again, this was a bargain and would highly recommend trying it out.

Overall great monitor only gripe was it arrived with a single dead pixel. Extremely close to the right bezel (2-3mm from edge). I didn't feel like waiting for a return and this could happen with literally any monitor you order. I am sure amazon would have replaced it free of charge, so really no big deal.Now to the monitor. It is amazing, has the reduced viewing angles that are to be expected from a TN. But overall solid colors, never a pain to look at beside my VA samsung ultrawide.Amazing for FPS games like CSGO, PUBG, Apex, COD. Very solid response times, 240hz freesync works great with my 1080ti, never had any issues with the refresh range.Speakers are rather quiet but they function and I never planned on using them anyway.Great performance for the price, haven't tested side by side but didn't notice any real difference with this vs my buddies alienware 240hz which rarely goes on sale for within $20-60 of what this monitor can be had for.
