Ready for Alaska
This Fish Hunter H1 is amazingly SHARP! I own several other Spiderco H1 blades and they are all scary sharp. This is the only blade material I will ever own and give to friends. This fixed blade will travel with me during a 7 day fly fishing float trip in Western Alaska.

Saltwater H1 Knives can't be beat!
Love it. Super sharp. Wont rust....This is my second H1 I've bought.First one was stolen by someone at my work. Luckily it was only a $50 Dragonfly version. The scarab is very nice too. Best knives for salt period.

Excellent knife. Junk Sheath. (You will lose knife if you rely on this sheath)
Spyderco makes an incredible knife. This one being specific to spearfishing is no different. The slim blade profile lends itself to dispatching fish. That said, the sheath is so bad, its better you just throw it out the second it arrives. The problem is with the retention. For the first few days I had the knife it held solid. Giving me just enough confidence to dive with it. On one of my first dives with it, i noticed the flashing yellow and chrome as it sank to the bottom, having fell out of the sheath. Luckily, i noticed it, and the boat was stationary so after a standard surface interval I was able to retrieve it at 100 feet. BUT i was this close to losing a brand new knife due to the crappy sheath supplied. I found a kydex sheath on amazon and it works flawlessly. Easy fix. Read this Spyderco and make some running changes…

Love the knife hate the sheath
PRO: The knife is sharp and light.CON: The sheath looks nice but weak on holding the knife. I feel like it can come off anytime. It's good and bad depend on how u will use it.

not great for scuba diving
i was looking forward to this knife because spyderco generally makes quality stuff. unfortunately this knife seems to be designed to get lost. out of the box sheath retention is great very stiff and positive click however after only one day of diving that all changes very drastically! now it barley stays in the sheath, almost no retention at all. you will need to atach it to the sheath with shock cord to avoid loosing it and it is an awkward design for mounting to a bcd unless you want to use zip ties but i wouldn't recommend that because of the very poor sheath retention. also not really set up for leg or arm mounting. does seem to be pretty corrosion resistant with only miner oxidation in engraved areas on the blade. despite the brands long history this is not worth the money!
