This computer has in spades the quality I want most: blazing fast startup. Because it boots from a solid-state drive (SSD) rather than from a conventional hard drive, it fires up Windows10 in seconds. If you are frustrated by a computer that takes forever to boot, and know from experience how even (initially) fast computers with conventional hard drives start to slow over time, buy this computer. Its basic hardware is strong: it's got a fast i5 processor and tons of RAM. The SSD is what sets it apart.I honestly don't understand the economics of it--I mean how much firepower this computer has while also coming with a Windows license and an SSD. The configuration makes simultaneous use of multiple Office programs seamless. The computer happens to come with a 32-bit version of Office 2016 pre-installed. I was pleased to discover that, simply by entering my email credentials from my employer (an educational institution), I was entitled to a license for the entire Office 2016 suite. Not everyone will enjoy such a benefit of course, but perhaps you will if you work for a school or company that runs Office.The "Microsoft-certified refurbisher" who sold me this machine (Skytech) definitely knows what it is doing. Computer came well-packaged, clean, and with a new mouse and keyboard. Excellent experience and top-quality product.

Unfortunately, it's way too late to do anything about my issue, but this computer didn't actually come with a 240GB SSD. Instead, it came with a 2TB Desktop (3.5") Hard Drive from 2012, and the "2" at the end of that number is crossed out in permanent marker! How do I know this? The drive failed and had to be replaced WITH AN ACTUAL SSD. Also, the version of windows that was installed on this machine WAS NEVER ACTIVATED AND WAS NOT GENUINE. For the regular person who doesn't know how to mitigate these issues: BEWARE. These people are throwing together old components and calling their products "refurbished", without being transparent about what's going into them.

The cold boot to login time is about 40 seconds with the SSD drive. Wake-from-sleep about 10 seconds. For ordinary usage (browsing, office apps), the responsiveness is great. I tend to open a lot of tabs (20+) in Chrome, and even so the performance is fast and responsive across all tabs. I have done a little light audio and video editing, and am happy with performance of those apps too.

First one I got the hard drive crapped out in 3 months. They replaced it no problem. Then the replacement computer started acting up in the same way till it finally quit. Same problem crappy generic hard drive. It was 11 days out of warranty and they just said " buy another hard drive". REALLY!!! If you are going to buy their junky rebuilt computers GET THE EXTENDED WARRANTY or be prepared to get another hard drive!!!!

Appears fully functional. I’ve used speakers, mic, games, internet and file editing and I’ve had no trouble

Unfortunately the computer would just die in seconds upon starting up. Thought I would take a chance on a refurb with mixed reviews but no luck. I wanted to exchange it for another but the customer service wasn't exactly accommodating so it turned out to be nothing but wasted time.

As already Mentioned, this Does Not Come Loaded With 'Windows 10 Pro'... Personally, I suggested to Amazon they remove that notation.It comes with the capacity to download 'Microsoft / Window 365 Personal' or 'Microsoft / Window 365 Professional', but you have to purchase that on your own separately; which I did from Best Buy Canada.There is something loaded, AKIN to the aforementioned, but it is not the same. If you are planning on Restoring (say) authentic 'WORD' or 'EXCELL' Folders / Files, as I did (having saved them on my old 'Windows XP), they will not Download on your computer (comes out like Hieroglyphics) unless you have the authentic 'Microsoft / Windows' .Otherwise, for a 'Refurbished' Computer, BlairTech (the folks who Refurbished it) did an amazing job. The Carton and the Product look / smell as if BRAND NEW - even some of my Techkie friends say it has never been used. Great product (other than what Amazon put on their Website) and runs like a charm.
