Verizon Jetpack MHS291L 4G LTE Mobile Hotspot (Verizon Wireless)

This thing works great. I have Verizon cell phone coverage. I am using the Jetpack as a WiFi connection for my Kindle Fire. I took it to the Verizon store, they quickly set it up for me, altho it's easy enough to set up yourself. DO note you may have to upgrade your cell phone plan to include this, which you can do via Amazon when you purchase the Jetpack. I found Amazon Wireless Help Center to be exceptionally helpful.I will write an update after I've had this in service for a while.

item arrived used!! The description states it is new in box with charging cord. no cord in box. The buttons were worn and face was scratched badly..clearly not new. Do not buy.

Very solid built unit with bright OLED display. It has 5G Wifi band to avoid congested 2.4G band. Just make sure you configure the wireless radio to use HT20 or HT40 to benefit from maximum LTE speed. I use it mainly during commute and when there is no public wifi available. I am amazed of how good the battery life is on this thing. It last a whole 5-day week of about 3 hours worth of commute each day. The only minor issue is it gets pretty warm if you put it in a pouch during use.

I only get 1 bar half the time it’s not worth the 80.00 I paid the battery goes out to fast very disapointed

After reading the reviews, I was hesitant, as Ive had issues before with hotspots, but this unit has worked flawlessly for me. I plug my yagi antenna in and its good to go for any wifi device. i am very pleased.

This is a "preliminary" review until I get this working properly. As of now I can only give it three stars because, in spite of what the seller say's, there is no SIM card with this item. I pulled the SIM out of my phone, which looked to be the same size, but it still said "No SIM card detected, please install SIM". However, when turned on, my computer found it and the unit recognized my computer. So, I ordered a Verizon SIM card today from Amazon and will have to wait and see if the unit work's then. Still, disappointing because the seller specifically state's, "No SIM card needed". Therefore, only three stars. I will update review when all is good........ or not.

I work from home 100% of the time. When I'm at home I have fantastic connectivity, however, if I actually worked from my house 100% of the time I would go crazy so I tend to frequent the local coffee shops, cafes and pubs. The WiFi in those places can be sketchy at best. My Verizon Jetpack gives me the freedom to have amazingly fast, secure internet access wherever I decide to hang my hat for the day.

purchase, to activation, amazon guided me through the process, the reviews on this hotspot model were right on. My speeds depend on location however I have gotten 20Mbps downstream and 12Mbps upstream sitting in my car. The more bars on the service the faster the internet service. I am enjoying having this little gem with me in my work, if my client's internet is too slow I simply power up this hotspot and connect to quickly get my work or that important email sent or file uploaded to the office.
