Best patio heater I have owned

Very nice patio heater. The wicker nicely matches the rest of my outdoor furniture. The top is just the right height to place drinks on when you are standing around the heater. Assembly was easy, and took maybe 45 minutes. No missing parts. The battery powered igniter works fine. The picture doesn't show it, but the unit comes with wheels in the rear so moving it around is simple.

Using the product support link on Amazon sends you directly to the manufacturer, Hanover. I call the phone number listed and enter a ticket to try to get a replacement part. They email me and tell me that the product has to be registered by the seller. I follow the Amazon link in the product support link and it goes directly to Hanover's website. There is no means of registering the product myself on Hanover's website, nor is there a link on the order from Amazon to register it and Hanover won't accept my receipt as a means to register the product. Nothing in the package paperwork I purchased says the product needs to be registered or the warranty won't be accepted. So in other words, they won't honor their warranty because they don't offer a way to register the product I just purchased. Hanover Customer Service is non-existent.Sincerely,One very frustrated consumer

I have not used the heater yet, but wanted to comment that the assembly went very smooth. The instructions were clear and even had images and descriptions of every nut and bolt you use with each step. The small parts were nicely packaged in a blister pack also well labeled, not only specifying the part name and description but what they will be used to assemble.As others have noted, the protective plastic film was tedious to remove but not that bad.I did start up the heater and it functioned, I just have not had the opportunity to test it in the cold.

To top of the cylinder housing was significantly scratched. There was no protective layer on it. See pics.Seems like a quality item, with packaging issues. If you get, inspect it carefully and expect to have to request replacement partsEDIT: Manufacturer offered to send a replacement part. Despite me sending pics of the issue, the name of the part in the manual... they sent the wrong part.

Works well on our screened-in deck. We have a 10-foot ceiling but most of these things are 8' and want a 3' clearance. This one was just a little over 7' and only asked for 2' but we put it in the middle so it had the max headroom of about 3'Assembly took about 45 minutes and needed an extra pair of hands for a few parts.There were two issues with the assembly and instructions.1. They did forget to remind you at the end to tighten the screws around the base that were installed first with instructions to not fully tighten them.2. The blue film on the reflector was very frustrating to remove as they must have put in on when the pieces were flat and then rolled the edges so there was really no way to remove all of the film. Guess it will just melt in place ;(It's good to recheck everything once you think you are done.

After years of lighting problems with my old heater I bought this and assumed there could still be lighting issues, it's what I'm used too... but this lite up on the 1st time after 5 seconds of holding the button. It has lite up immediately every single time over the last 3 months, even after changing the tank. I have NEVER had to click it twice. I am so impressed. It was fairly easy but a bit time consuming to assemble, and the round tank cover (bottom part) was a bit dented and slighting out of round. So instead of returning, I use a rubber mallet made it round again and it fit great on the base. When we have friends over in the patio and it gets cold, I just light it (the 1st time!) and get back to the party. The propane went out once with company and I had to change out the tank and they were impressed that I could just open the side door and replace the tank. I didn't realize so many of these styles that you have to lift the round tank cove up, hold it somehow, while someone changes it. But this has the door which makes it simple. I'm really happy. Bought this in December of 2019 and no problems with lighting what so ever.
