Its nice, but
This version is the second gen shaver from Braun. The first gen lasted about 2 years and the battery died. I really liked the shaver so I went for the new one. This one is very nice too but after 6 months the clipper is dull and doesn't cut very well anymore. Also the dial for adjusting the length won't stay on the selected number very well. You need to be very careful with it or you will cut shorter than you want.

Work ls great for long beards
Work ls great for long beards. I been growing mine out but needed to trim it up. Usually I try trimming and cut way to much in areas and end up having to cut it off and start over. With this trimmer you can trim it up a lot longer and don't have to work about gapping out the beard. I'd recommend it.

Braun is Boss
Replaced a Wahl trimmer with this. Excellent quality from Braun as always. Trimmer has made excellent work of my thick beard without missing a beat, pulling, or tugging. There are more sizes than one would ever need. Cleaning is a breeze with the washability. I wish it had a Li-Ion battery instead of a Ni-MH but that's not big enough of a deal breaker to keep it from getting 5*'s. You won't regret this trimmer, and your beard will thank you.

Good design for guards. Weak battery/slow motor/less sharp & less efficient cutting.
Battery fairly under impressive both in terms of overall power and need to recharge after short usage. Blade runs slower than my Wahl plugin trimmers (call that 8.5/10 and significantly slower than Wahl plugin hair clippers (10/10). Starting with full charge these run at (8/10) and begin to immediately draw down the battery. After about ten minutes they slow to 7.5. and to 6 after another ten minutes or so. At this point only option is to plug in and charge battery. Guide attachments reduce the 10 or so with normal clippers to just 2, so good for travel. Less powerful motor, pulling less sharp blades that have fewer teeth per inch than the Wahl means that it takes more passes to obtain same precision. Taking longer means battery runs down. For quick trlm and travel these are OK. JUST OK. Not for regular use though. I would not purchase again

This clipper has a terrible battery. Not only does it frequently die
This clipper has a terrible battery. Not only does it frequently die, but I left it to charge for 7 minutes while I got ready in the morning, and the plastic began to smell as if it was burning. I immediately unplugged the charger and noticed the device was too hot to hold. I had to leave it for an hour to cool off. A very dangerous product, extremely disappointed by Braun. I want to speak to their representatives regarding this extremely dangerous product.

Good because the range of cut is clear and it ...
Good because the range of cut is clear and it works well. You can cut anywhere from a few millimeters and up... I have course, strong hair on my face and it does like to fight the clipper just a bit. But, it does not pull, etc. Basically, I just have to go over my beard a couple times to get an even cut. Not the best, but pretty good for the price. It should last me a couple years.TIP: keeping it plugged in while in use will increase blade speed a bit. The battery is fine, though. I've used both ways.

Better, better, keep going guys.
Getting better! Like a lot of users I buy these version over version and look for the makers to increase quality battery life sharpness etc. with every version. At first they weren’t waterproof, now they are, then the batteries only lasted 20 minutes, now the last 10 hours, they keep getting better and better. Keep it up!This is a huge step forward for Braun (edging out over the Phillips). I think a lot of the manufacturers do not know that people throw away every piece of Chinese prison labor camp crappy plastic thing that they sent with it and just use the trimmer. In fact I wish that they allowed you to buy them without all of the crap that they think is somehow a value add.

Worried about longevity
I've used this product about four or five times. First, I don't think it really is 20mm at max length, I think the gauge is off a bit, but I could be wrong. (My Wahl hair trimmer is just a bit longer at 20mm, so either Braun is wrong, or Wahl is. Not really too relevant, cannot tell unless you cut with one, then cut with the other.)My real concern is it used to hum at a high frequency. Just last week it suddenly shifted to a much lower frequency. It's working, but the change is disconcerting at best. For the record, I use it to trim my beard once a week on Fridays. It does not see heavy use. It is not used in water.
