Excelente laser

Plug and play on my ortur lm2 pro. Replaced the 5.5w laser. I was able to increase my cutting speed and made more materials available for use.

Excellent choice for an upgrade to my ORTUR LM2 PRO. A drop in replacement, in my case 24v to 24v. No need for the converter board. Just mounted it and viola! It has allowed me to engrave all my Etsy shop items faster with less laser power. Haven't tried to cut anything yet, but I assume it'll be as Laser Tree advertises. Not a single disappointment so far. If I have any, I'll be sure to update this review. 12/29/25 - Laser module showing signs of failure. Job speeds where 100 in/min for quality are now requiring 60 in/min to match quality. 40% power reduction. Laser cleaned/maintained routinely.

Updated: refund finally processed after leaving review. Changed from 1 to 3 stars. It was stated in the QA that it works Xtool d1 pto it doesn’t. Item was returned 2 and a half weeks ago and refund has still not been processed.

One year on (hobbyist use); still works just fine.

{UPDATE AT BOTTOM} No adapter plate, no power plug even though it requires one, and the data line is way too short to actually work on even a desktop sized cnc. I want to get some help with this order but Amazon seems to just want me to request a refund or replacement and finding a button to contact seller like a needle in the haystack in 2023. {UPDATE} : customer support was very responsive and willing to provide guidance and assist with sending the mounting bracket and additional wiring. Props for being quick and willing to help! However, Please be aware that the stock mounting bracket does not work stock if you have a foxalien 4040-XE. I had to make a mounting plate out of aluminum to attach to, but it is quite worth it as the mounting plate allows for manual adjustment to further fine tune your z axis control. I also needed to get an additional cable to work with the required length to run between the cnc control box and the adapter, as well as purchase a 24v adapter before everything was functional. After all that was in place it works pretty well though. I have yet to try some major power cuts but it seems to handle some initial cardboard jobs pretty well.

Took a little to retrofit my existing setup, but the addition power is worth it

Great upgrade from my original equipment 2.5 watt laser. Can cut 1/8th and 1/4" baltic birch craft plywood now.

description ight have been updated since my purchase, but this is not a direct plugin for a d1 pro. Can't tell how good the laser is as it's been returned.

The plug and play part was great, but I never received any instructions on how to mount it to my Ortur LM 2 Pro. The hardware that came with it did not match any of the existing holes on my machine, I even tried parts from my new adjustable adapter and no go. I tried the parts from the original module and still it didn’t fit. I finally had to make up a separate bracket on my own. The engraving is great but the cutting leaves a bit to be desired and my height is now limited when I use my honeycomb cutting board I can’t get the module high enough and that put a stop on a lot of my projects. Over all not too satisfied, May have to go for the original Ortur laser, at least I know it fits. Sorry for the poor review but it’s warranted, and it lets other people know the problems they may encounter.

Item came broken. The plug and play was fine, it sort of worked but one of the lenses was out of place and all my cuts were out of place. Had to get a whole new gantry plate to mount it to my laser frame. So be careful and double check the way your laser mounts. Returned the laser.
