Fast shipping. Good Info
For the seller, fast shipping and quality of book as described. I give them a 5. Book is a 3.5. It is interesting but I was hoping for more locations in some of the states that have only a single listing but actually have many more. However, I am anxious to learn more about those that are written about!

This Book Delivers!
I'm so old that I remember actually using a book titled "Europe on $5 a Day"!--I forget if the exclamation point was within or outside the title. Anyway, something about "Monastery Guest Houses..." reminds of the aforementioned 60's travel book, probably the newer book's strength of getting a ton of valuable material within its 260 pages. If you are considering spending a vacation, or part of a vacation in a monastery or convent, consult this book about the geographical region you have your thouhts on--AND GO. The beauty of this book, and it is considerable, is its breadth, and its depth. From its 43 states, and half-dozen provinces you are sure to find an area that you will like to experience in an unconventional way--perhaps within the confines of an environment where you can actually think--again. So pore over the possibilities in "Monastery Guest Houses of North America", and zero in on a specific guest house to read the specifics regarding meals (usually included during one's stay), directions/public transportation, history, etc.--there really is a wealth of material in this seemingly casual travel/guide book--Monastery Guest Houses truly delivers.

This book was costly. Filled with various advertisements of "retreat centers".
I could only wish, during these devastating times.

Travel in a more non conventional way and some wonderful things happen
This little book is a real treasure. For fellow travelers who have a desire to stay in peaceful, unique, spiritual and hospitable places, this book holds the key. The prices at the monasteries usually include meals and are very reasonable. Plus there are accommodations in most states. Travel in a more non conventional way and some wonderful things happen!

Great Resource
This book gives quite detailed information on Guest Houses in North America. It tells something about the locale the Guest House is in and also information about cost and accommodations (e.g. private rooms, shared rooms, private bathrooms, shared bathrooms). It gave me all the information I needed to arrange my upcoming trip.
