Excellent for modifying an iPod
My application for this item was to replace and upgrade the fragile moving parts HDD in a Generation 5.5 iPod Video. This use case also requires a ZIF - mSATA adapter board, sold separately. The installation of the BP4e into the iPod was easy, and the iTunes Restore process was fast and error free. This is a 512GB capacity drive, but with over provisioning you start with 480GB gross usable space, in the iPod that formats down to 446.95GB net.Performance has been glitch free, the read speed for track seek, menu navigation, and shuffle play is excellent, the write speed for loading music is just so so but thats a function of the iPod's logic board being the speed transfer bottleneck, not a limitation of the BP4e.

Best Price for its Size, Fantastic Performance in Dell M6500
I installed this in a Dell Precision M6500, to replace the 80GB that was in it originally. I split it into four 128GB partitions. The main OS on the machine is Windows 7 (which boots from the internal 2TB HDD array). The SSD boots Windows 8.1 or Linux (depending on the selected partition). The third partition is a secure TrueCrypt logical drive, and the fourth is for ReadyBoost (for Win 7). Compared to the original 80GB SSD this one is a good bit faster, and the performance difference is remarkable compared to booting Win 7 from the HDD. If you've never used an SSD to boot Windows or Linux, you will be impressed. I can boot into Win 8.1 in a fraction of the time it takes to boot Win 7; takes longer to POST than to boot Windows. At the time I bought this, February 2015, it was definitely the best for the money - faster than most, and the best price for its size. I highly recommend it, especially if you're planning a multi-boot system.

Sustained data transfer cause the drive to shutdown, making the drive useless
EDIT: I was contacted by the manufacturer (see below) to contact them for a replacement. I did and never heard back.Bought this and MyDigital own case. I use it as backup drive for my MacBook using Carbon Copy Cloner. After four months of light use (only use it to back up once a week - otherwise disconnected and powered off), sustained data transfer shut-off the drive. For example: encrypting the drive via FileVault will shutdown the drive - no lights from the MyDigital case and the drive will froze from OSX.The thing is, I have Samsung SSD and NEVER had this problem - whether copying large files or encrypting the drive. Only with the MyDigital SSD I have this problem.Unfortunately, it has been more than 30 days so I cannot return it.

Works flawlessly
I installed this in a Dell XPS 27 all-in-one to replace the existing 32gb SSD that Dell uses as part of a RAID configuration. I switched off the RAID function and used the MyDigital drive in AHCI mode, mainly for my Wiondows 8.1 operating system plus a virtual drive to test Windows 10. It was instantly recognized, has been in for several weeks and has worked flawlessly. No degradation. Speed, of course, is great and seemingly comparable with any conventional SSD.

Installed my Dell XPS 12 (9Q33, Mid 2013). ...
Installed my Dell XPS 12 (9Q33, Mid 2013). Upgraded the 128GB SSD OEM. First I used Clonezilla to clone w/ an external mSATA enclosure. Then I used AOMEI Technology's Partition Assistant to resize the OS partition to use the un-allocated volume. Last thing I had to do was reset the 8GB partition volume ID back so Intel Rapid Storage was working again.

great product and great price
I purchased this product to replace a 128gb SSD in my laptop. I used clonezilla to clone the drive and have had no issues what so ever with this product. I talked my co-worker in buying this and we replaced his 128gb drive also. I have no problems recommending this product, great product and great price.

Great, cost-effective drive
Fast and cost efficient, note that if this ssd gets hot (which it will very quickly) the speed degrades. When transfering 40GB+ it got hot and transfer speeds quickly dropped to 15MB/s. However when not under load, get's a nice 300-480MB/s.Use cooling or be prepared that intensive use will slow the drive down (most mSATA SSDs have this issue, so I'm not marking this one down).

Great SSD for the price
Just what I needed for a user's laptop at the price I was looking to pay. The user was down to 2GB free on a 240 SSD, so I needed something to clone windows to and not give them additional space. This fit our need perfectly. And the performance is still great as well!
