Collections Etc Natural Stone Room Humidifiers - Set Of 2

I really didn't expect these to add much humidity to my room, and they don't. However, they don't add noise or use electricity, so I will continue to use them. My room size is 10 x 12 and I use both the large and the small in the room. The large one is in front of the heat duct. The small one is near a window. I play bass guitar and there is a humidifier in the case but I don't like to keep the bass inside the case all the time. My furnace humidifier doesn't keep the levels high enough on its own so these are a supplement. Will try taking them with me when I travel and see if they help bring the humidity within acceptable levels there.

I mainly bought it with low expectations. We needed something since the dry air was really bothering our cats (I saw a bit of blood when wiping their noses). I got this thing from some other seller initially while we looked for a proper humidifier in the meantime. With one set, they seemed to be breathing a bit better, but I needed to get this second set to notice much for myself. Our apartment is about 800 sqare feet and I have the small ones in the bedroom and the two large ones in the kitchen. I'll move one to the living room if I can find a spot I can trust that the cats won't knock over.I think it was this set that actually bothered to include how you're supposed to care for these. If it wasn't, just washing it with hot soapy water once a week is supposed to do it.

These are a fun and easy way to add moisture to any room in your house. You do need to add water more often in the winter when your heat is on, but well worth it. No popping of static at all since I got them. I bought two sets, one set has a very dry small globe that for some reason never gets damp. Also, whenever I pick up the globes to add water there are black marks where I touch left on them that look a bit like mildew. I am not sure why touching them does that. Overall, a good addition for added moisture in the home.

I would have preferred the set be two large rather than one large and one small. This is the second time I have ordered the product because I was very pleased with the first one I got (not through Amazon) and use it on my night stand daily. I feel like it helps me with my asthma. I really don't know what to do with the small one.

I think these do work for their purpose, the air does seem better when they are consistently filled.However after a few fills the larger one stopped "drinking". The smaller of the two goes through water quickly and the larger one will sit with only slight depletion over multiple days - I assume evaporation over the clay ball actually doing its job.

These do help dry air a little. Not as good as a humidifier would, but they do help. I find I have to fill them every couple of days. I am using filtered water and it is working just fine. The ball does develop a little discoloration and crustiness at the top, but it washes away easily. Be sure to use a coaster or something underneath, and check for mold growth underneath. You do have to keep them clean. But overall, I am happy with them.

I got these in hopes that they would help from waking up with a dry and sore throat and nose. However, after the first night, it didn’t seem to help. I always checked the bowls but the water never got lower, so it wasn’t getting released into the air. I would not recommend getting this in place of a humidifier. Or at all.

Only complaint so far, is that they're small. (Thinking about using the domes in bigger bowls for less refilling.) But the fact that I needed to refill them several times a day to start out tells me, the water is going somewhere! I got one set for my house, (to test them,) and a set as a gift. Hopefully they see similar results. All told, I guess I'm happy with my order.
