This is actually a very very and I do mean extremely POOR design anyone trying to pull real humidity out a room using the drain will be fighting an up hill battle like wow 🤯 what a HORRIBLE design. Let me explain the drain port is in the back like all other systems STANDARD butttttt the air port that pulls in the air is also in the back and since the drain hose is so short you can’t place the air port in the front to pull more air you are absolutely 💯 forced to place it up against the wall which seriously 😒 restricts the air flow going in just an absolute joke for a $200 dehumidifier seriously 😐 how stupid is spider farmer to design a dehumidifier with such restrictions on the air flow coming in almost all others pull air from front to get more air flow so that way the user can actually control the REAL HUMIDITY this is a massive scam. FYI the drain hose is tiny I mean epically short tiny hose how can they even classify that as a drain hose and its corrugated so it actually holds water in the drain tube as well will be returning product soon 🔜 just a low end product with HORRIBLE design FLAWS and I mean 😢 major design issues. FYI I have it sit on 40 humidity lowest it can get the 8’ x 8’ room to is 70 RH um like what the actual heck and it’s on continuous run as well and can barely 😰 get the RH to 70. Just a low grade over charged product with massive design flaws HUGE design flaws MASSIVE like it’s a joke to the customer it’s like SPIDER 🕷️ FARMER is suiting at the BANK 🏦 laughing 😂 they butttttttts off at every single customer knowing how bad they have screwed the customers over

This is a very nice product. When I put the ducting in the 6in vent hole it kept my tent at what i set it at on the unit. It's on wheels so it makes it easy to move around as well and is user friendly. If I were to change anything on this it would be its water catcher I would make it just a little bit bigger but it does have the hose you can put in a bucket for continuous draining capabilities. It's a great tool to add to your garden and I highly recommend it.

This thing is a workhorse! I use it with my 4 X 4 and it works great. My only issue is with the quality of the vent adapter that goes on the output for those of us that prefer to keep it outside the tent. The plastic tabs that connect the adapter to the unit break very easily. Mine will no longer stay attached to the unit. I could think of a dozen alternative designs that would be better than this one. But…I’m just an end customer so what do I know, right? If anyone out there has a hack to keep a broken adapter attached, please share!

This is a perfect small unit which is very quiet. Set up was easy and quick. I was concerned about not having a way to calibrate the sensor but just noted the difference between a calibrated hygrometer and this unit. No issue. I purchased a 20 foot hose to run from the unit to my drain. No issues.

It technically does its job and pretty well but some major design flaws. For me the biggest flaw that doesn't get explained well in the description or reviews is that the air blows OUT the hose. I would've thought it would be better to have the air sucked out of the tent through the hose. Since the air blows out the hose, if you have the unit outside the tent as advertised, it's really just blowing dry air into the tent to lower the humidity, I'm not sure I would call that "dehumidifying". If I want to dehumidify and blow the air out the tent, the unit has to go in the tent and I don't have room for that. I specifically got this because I don't have room. This flaw also causes positive pressure in the tent because it's blowing air in faster than my exhaust can remove it. I can turn the exhaust up but then it's super loud. Not ideal that I have to choose between smell escaping the tent and a loud exhaust. Second, the sensor probe is way off. Compared to the AC infinity probe and the other 2 hygrometers in the tent, it's about 5% low. Third, the increments of 5 on the humidity setting are annoying. It would've been a simple decision in the product design process to program the controller to work in increments of 1. Thankfully it does have an auto restart feature that lets me use an AC infinity plug to connect this up to my ACI controller. Overall I would recommend this ONLY because AC infinity hasn't come out with something better yet. As soon as they do I'm getting rid of this.

Works great. Pulls a ton of moisture out of my apartment. It was delivered to me upside-down by amazon so make sure you leave it right-side-up and turned off for 48 hours before first use so that the fluids all settle properly.

Brilliant item. Very quiet to run, and a fair price for what it is. Not too big and really helps with the humidity

In a Sydney summer, this cannot bring a 3 x3 tent below 60RH even on the lowest setting. The probe reads way off. It pumps out hot air which leads to overheating, and as others have noted it inflates the tent like a balloon even on low. It does remove a lot of water though.

I’m pleasantly impressed with this little unit! It’s kept my grow tent at a perfect environment for my cannabis! ! Only thing is the size of the holding tank is to small. I was emptying it twice in 24 hr period! However I did connect the drainage hose up and I’m worry free now !
