Amazing product. Arrived early too.
Sent from Japan. Arrived two weeks before the delivery end slot. Not only does it work well but it really is easier on the fingers than a stringed guitar.20 different sounds available. Some are fine.I have yet to try the midi aspects but from all accounts that should be fine.A few minor scuff marks. Other than that it is in pristine condition. It would be better if there was a way of turning off the fret LEDs. They are useful but there are occasions where they could be distracting.

A great little gadget
It's never going to be a guitar, but that is not why I bought it. I am programming strumming patterns into a sequencer for arranging purposes, and it does a very good job of sending the MIDI data out to the PC based sequencer. If you want to learn to play a guitar, you need to buy a guitar with real strings and real frets.

A nice toy, but that's all.
I thought that this would be an easy way to learn to play guitar, but the buttons on the neck can be tricky to master. Maybe I have podgy fingers. The sound is Ok though and the various settings are easy enough to work out. But it's just a toy really.Note that it doesn't come with the usb-midi connector so you'll have to buy one of these as well (i.e. Yamaha UX16) if you want to download new sounds and songs from the internet.

Innovative but lacklustre... and beaten by Fretlight.
This isn't a bad guitar... but then it isn't a guitar is it? I would highly recommend Optek's Fretlight over this since it's an actual guitar with LED lights cleverly hidden under the fretboard. This has one major advantage - no external computer/laptop needed, but then comparing this to a Fretlight there's no way this could compete, nor can any 'learning experience' in my opinion and I teach guitar and I've tried a LOT of 'innovative' products.

Excellent communication throughout the order process. Product is perfect.
The most innovative new guitar invented! No need for pressing down strings you simply press any of the light up fret buttons to select the note and then strum or pick the string. Like a synth you can select from 20 sounds - take your pick from 9 different guitars, 8 bass guitars , a banjo or even a piano. You can learn the built in songs by using the teaching system - learn the strumming pattern then the fret positions then put them both together. You even have a full backing band playing along with you.
Perfect for beginners with no guitar experience or an amazing new way to play for more experienced players
