Oregon Scientific WMR300 - Ultra-Precision Professional Weather System

I have had this for a couple of months now. It seems to work OK but has a number of problems, particularly for the non technical minded of us.First off, it is not that easy to assemble. It doesn't come with its own mounting pole like the equivalent Davis product does so if you want the outdoor unit to be self contained you will have to buy your own pole. In the end I went for a TV areal mounting kit which works fine but it did take a while to get everything properly mounted and working.However, the biggest issue I have with this is that it simply will not connect to my PC to enable me to download data so that I can do historical tracking. I have tries everything, including the Oregon scientific software from their website (there is no software in the box) as well as a couple of third party pieces of software. Absolutely nothing works.I have emailed the Oregon Scientific customer support people numerous times over the last few months to try to get some advice. They have not had the courtesy to respond to any of my emails which I find quite appalling from a customer service perspective.My advice would be that if you are going to buy an Oregon Scientific weather station, then don't waste your money on this expensive model as hardly any of the "added benefits" actually work. Go for a WMR 88 or similar which is what I "upgraded" from.and save some money. The WMR 88 works fine as a fairly basic weather station which is pretty much what I have now with this expensive model.If you are looking to spend this kind of money then I would recommend looking into a Davis which are similarly priced but do seem to have much better reviews.

La station est opérationnelle depuis le 1er juillet 2017 (soit depuis 2 mois). Je n'ai jamais eu de problème avec. La station est complète, précise et répond bien à mes attentes ! La qualité est là et le rapport qualité-prix aussi. Elle rivalise bien avec, par exemple, une station Davis, pour même moins chers ! (En comptant logiciel et câble pour PC) Elle transfère les données sur plusieurs sites météo sans problèmes.En gros tout ce que je voulais grâce à cette station !

Hab diese Wetterstation im September 2015 gekauft, ging bis Jänner 2016 gut, dann viel die Verbindung ( ca. 50 m) zwischen Sender und Basisstation aus. E-Mail an Support wurde schnell beantwortet, ich solle ein Batterierücksetzverfahren machen, funktionierte, aber nur für ca. 3 Wochen, dann wurde mir gesagt es gibt keine Reparatur in Deutschland ich soll beim Lieferanten reklamieren. Amazon kontaktiert und welch Freude die Antwort kam sofort. Sie schicken mir eine neue WMR 300 los und ich soll dann die Defekte retournieren. Das war heute.Nun zur Station selbst:Die Teile machen einen sehr Hochwertigen Eindruck, der Aufbau ist gut in Deutsch beschrieben. Gut ist dass es Kompakte Einheiten sind wie der Regenmesser, Temperaturfühler, Sendeeinheit mit Akku und Solarpaneel, ist alles nur mit 2 Schrauben an einen Mast zu fixieren. Den Windmesser habe ich auf einen 4 m Hohen Mast befestigt, das Kabel zur Sendeeinheit ist dafür lang genug.Negativ ist die ungenaue Innentemperatur, die zeigt ca. 2 Grad zu viel an, kalibrieren ist nicht möglich.Die Anzeigen der Werte (Ziffern) sind eher zu Dick, die Kommastellen sind nur zu erahnen.Hatte früher eine WMR 928, ist 10 Jahre Klaglos durch alle Wetter marschiert. Zusatzsensoren gibt es meines Wissens noch keine.
