Replacement T-Bar Handle with Molded Knob for Shimano TLD 20 & TLD 25 Reels

To attach the new Molded T-Bar knob to the handle blank, remove the 2 small phillips screws and face plate from the top of the knob. This will expose a slot in the pin for a screw driver. Unscrew the phillips screw from the bottom of the knob using a second screw driver from the top of the knob. Leave the washer on the exposed pin. Use blue Loctite 242 inside the pin when attaching the pin to the handle blank to secure the screw.Attach the Philips head screw thru the handle blank into the knob. With the normal screw driver inserted into the top of the pin to prevent rotation, tighten with both screw drivers..Then replace the face plate and 2 small screws.These instructions were not shipped with the handles. I sure could have used them.

Bought this for my TLD25, and am so glad to dump that old handle in a drawer for back up. Its the perfect length, feels great. It does seem big on the reel, but its also because I am used to seeing a little handle on it. It will become normal after awhile and the small stock handle will just seem so so small after a few weeks. Keep in mind the arm is plastic, and the screw holes for the little screw that fits the grooves of the main handle screw are a little bit too far in my opinion. Rather than fitting snug in the groove, it is only slightly in the groove. I think it will work fine, but it should be a little closer. Well worth the $ and its better than the other alternatives. Glad to have it.

These are excellent replacement handles for my TLD 25's. The grip is solid and the handle is well built. I ended up buying a replacement handle for my Tekota 800 after using these for awhile on my TLD's. Great upgrade, you won't be sorry. I switched them out in a minute or two using the preexisting screws from the factory handles.

The handles worked great.I did rated a 5 stars because the screw in the screw supplied got loose on the first day out.Sug. Add a drop of locktite to the kit. Thanks

Good overall, but screws loosen over time. Could be a better way of locking nuts...

Great upgrade, I really like these handles. I find them very comfortable and really provides extra torque. There is no hand slippage, minimizes fatigue with wire line or lead core used for trolling. I'll buy another in the off season.

Handle arrived quickly and as described. The replacement handle better fits a TLD25 than the original handle which is too small for the reel. After installing the handle and using it a few times, you will never go back. Only negative is you will end up replacing all your TLD handles.
