Noctua Edition RTX 5080 - No Regrets
I was looking to upgrade from a MSI RTX 3080 12GB for 2k ultrawide gaming, and at the time there were only options for ASUS branded Geforce cards that were not a month away from delivery. I've never owned an ASUS card before, but decided to go ahead with the ASUS RTX 5080 Noctua Edition. So this wasn't my first choice. I was a little concerned about how the Noctua brown would look in my blacked out case, but there is barely any brown visible from the side when the GPU is seated, so it was a no-issue. If you're concerned about the brown, don't be... you can't really see it. The top plate has some dark brown, but even in a blacked out case it looked good. No flashy lights or crazy decals, just a high performance GPU. The first thing when unboxing this card I noticed was its huge size, the GPU cooler is much larger than older generations and takes up almost the whole length of my mid tower case. Installation wasn't too difficult, I didn't experience any issues. As far as performance, at factory clock speeds, the main thing I noticed is the card barely warms up at all, and its basically silent when gaming. After a couple hours of gaming it was at 46 degrees! I overclocked it to 2800mhz and it was stable at 48 degrees! In 20 years of PC gaming I've never seen anything like it. Cyberpunk 2077 on ultra with DLSS auto & frame generation ran beautifully at 3440x1440 180+ FPS with no input latency issues. I tried a few other games like Battlefield 6, Fortnite, The First Descendant with high or better settings on each ran stable at 120+ FPS and the core temps didn't exceed 48 degrees. I recommend using a GPU bracket for this card because of the size, just to keep it secure in place. It comes with one you can prop between the card and something else, which is kinda tacky, but functional, practical and magnetic and does the job fine for me. Another recommendation, if you're using this for gaming... use the display port over HDMI, you'll get the best performance. Overall, ASUS & Noctua produced a quality product and i'm completely satisfied.

Strong performer, full featured 4k gaming GPU for a hefty pricetag.
Expensive, but you know that already if you're looking a 5080. Replaced my 3080 with this and very large gains in all games. Very large card make sure you have the space inside your tower and in the back for the 3 slots. While in my desktop, even with 3 monitors multitasking, the fans never even need to turn on because it idles very cool. Even when gaming the fans at 40-60% rpm are very quiet. I don't think I've seen it go over 70% rpm speed in the latest games. Had no missing ROPs, hopefully that issue was limited to very early cards. VRAM of 16gb is a welcome improvement over the 10GB I had on my 3080 which was limiting the more games that keep coming out since I run games at 4k. Runs almost all of my games with great fps at 4k resolution, with and without DLSS depending on the game and usage of Ray tracing settings and how optimized the game is. With some more maturity in the 50 series drivers it should keep strong performance for quite a few years. Overall a great upgrade from my 3080 from 4 years ago, if you're on a 40 series card it's not worth it most likely especially for the current cost.

Great GPU; be prepared for other upgrades
TLDR; I used this graphics card in my first custom-build and it works very well for me. It’s a big and heavy beast but it does everything it needs to do very well while looking amazing. You may need to get a larger pc case than what you had for a 30 series or earlier. I selected this 5080 for my first custom pc build and I’ve been learning a lot about pcs in general from the experience. Appearance: I love the design of the card. It looks mechanical and modern and fits perfect with my black themed build. I’ve always liked ASUS designs. My first gaming laptop (my first laptop, period) was ASUS and I have come to trust the brand as being reliable and appealing in its style. Performance: There are no games that I have played so far that haven’t maxed out the game’s graphics settings by default. The 16gb of VRAM was my biggest want out of a new GPU and this helps get all the FPS from every game I’ve tried. Size: This thing is massive. My previous GPU was a 3060. I thought I could squeeze the 5080 into my old case to save a few bucks and I was very wrong. It is also quite heavy so I’d recommend using the included gpu stand or similar to support the weight. When fitted into the correct case, it was super easy to install. Power: I bought a 850w power supply unit and it’s been working fine with it thus far. If you have doubts, it may be safer to get a 1000w PSU depending on the rest of your build. I’ve also heard of issues with the PSU to GPU cables melting but I haven’t seen any evidence of this with my setup. Price: I bought this 5080 pretty early into the series’ release. I paid about 1600 for it but it has been worth it to me. If you have qualms with the price, the 5070 may be the option for you.

A performance beast! Smooth 4K with graphics at maximum settings.
It exceeds all expectations and redefines what it means to game at the highest level, running all games at maximum 4K resolution effortlessly. The experience is out of this world: games are incredibly smooth with maximum graphics settings. In addition to its power, the ASUS build quality is impeccable, and the included accessories, such as the collectible keycap and magnetic emblem, make it a premium addition to any setup. If you want to forget about technical settings and simply enjoy cinematic visual quality and flawless performance, this graphics card is worth every penny.

This card performs great at 4k even with my old 5800x. I get 160-240 fps on cyberpunk maxed out with framegen and it's like butter. The fans are quiet even at around 70% speed but this card will heat up a room nicely (good for winter). It overclocks to 3.1 ghz core and 36Gbs memory giving a good extra 10% performance for free. The price was very good, only a little more than a 5070ti so I went for this one.
