Works great

Product won't pair as instructed. I contacted seller who said they'd get back to me in 2 days. No response after 3 days so I contacted them again. It's now 2 days later and STILL not a peep. I'll be returning this product and never purchase from Maxcio again.

I'm using this in my house where I've already got several devices attached to the Smart Life cloud/app, and this works great as part of that home automation ecosystem. I was able to add it as a bridge to the Smart Life app without any issues, and then I've subsequently been able to add Zigbee devices to my Smart Life (and Google Home) setup without any problem.Not much else to say about it - it just does its job!

Quite clunky and not really easy to use

I thought this would help control my WIFI LED lights over the network rather than direct bluetooth connections. I cant find a use for what this controller does. I may yet return it.

So happy this works and on any Wi-Fi also works with quite a few devices.

In my opinion a ZigBee 3.0 hub should work with all products saying requires a ZigBee 3.0. The supplier is telling me only compatible with Tuya ZigBee Smart Products.

This Maxcio Zigbee Gateway Hub was easy to connect to the Smartlife app (through a dedicated network). I don't know anything about the security of the Maxcio app, and skipped it without any issues.There are statements on the box that say you have to use their proprietary app, but I found it unnecessary.I held the "reset" button on the back, until it started blinking fast. Then opened the Smartlife app, went to "Add device" then "gateway control", and chose "wireless gateway (zigbee)". It found the gateway and connected immediately. I updated the firmware in about 2 minutes. I may change the firmware in the future, but will update at that time.It recognized a tuya zigbee contact sensor without issue. It was still connected at 25 ft through walls.It's compact and fits in the palm of my hand.A nice hub, and very simple to connect Tuya devices, at a good value. If I have any connection issues in the future I will be sure to update. I would order another one if I needed it.
