SOL DE JANEIRO Brazilian Bod Buff Smoothing Scrub 'N' Mask

I don’t write reviews very often because I’m extremely busy, but when I do it’s because I’m strongly opinionated and the item was either awesome or it sucked so badly that I feel compelled to warn others LOL. This product is phenomenal! My skin has never felt and looked better. I’ll admit initially I wasn’t impressed (especially for the price) and I thought it didn’t have the scrubbing properties that I desired. I also noticed that it can be challenging to completely rinse off and get all of the tiny beads off. I think it was by my third use that I discovered what all the hype was about. First, I learned that a little goes a long way with this product. I rubbed it in my skin in circular motions (both clock and counter clockwise) and I could feel it exfoliating the dry skin on my knees and elbows. When I rinse I stand under the water and continue in circular motions to remove all of the product. My legs are gorgeous! They look like they’ve been buffed and my husband says my skin feels like baby skin. I gave my other scrubs to my daughter. This is it for me now!

I cover myself with this stuff literally from head to toe. Along with using it all over my body, I use it as a face scrub/mask too. I first got this stuff in a skin care set from Sephora and have been buying it since. So excited I found it on Amazon because it makes it super convenient. Here’s why I love it:PROS:1. Smells AMAZING (literally obsessed with the smell)2. Works like magic (my skin is so soft)3. Gentle, but you can also feel the scrub working (I have sensitive skin and it doesn’t do any harm)4. Leaves your skin looking toned, glowy, even, and super hydrated5. Lighted my scars from head to toe6. Best body mask I’ve ever used. CONS:1. Stains towels (but nothing a little shout can’t fix)2. It’s addictingMy advice: buy it and you’ll fall in love.Leaving a photo of how it looks on a paper towel after rinsing it off and drying yourself.

I got a sample through Ipsy and I’m OBSESSED. I don’t usually like body wash or body scrub, but this stuff is different. First of all, it smells AMAAAZING. stg I want to shower like 3x/day just so I can smell it on me. Secondly, I think it does actually buff. Usually when products say stuff like that or claim to be exfoliating I never notice a difference. But after using this regularly for just about a week (~4 showers?), the little dry skin bumps on my upper arms were almost gone. I love this stuff.The only negative is that it’s bright yellow and makes a mess of the shower. You have to actively wipe it down afterward. Still worth it though.

It’s just okay.I love this company and so many of their products but this was a miss for me.Does not smell like the signature Brazilian bum bum cream or mist.It isn’t all that exfoliating and I couldn’t notice a difference in my skin after using it as a mask.It is a bright concentrated yellow color that will stain your white shower floor so make sure to wash it down the drain immediately.

Your skin will be as soft as a baby after just one use. And it smells so amazing. I will buy this over and over again

Truly works ! Firstly the scent .... to die for . The yellow tint in the scrub does give your skin a glow after serval uses . The texture of the scrub is the good , not too abrasive . Very moisturizing as well. Overall the product does deliver ! My skin is smooth and supple !!!

I wanted to try this after watching a YouTuber that I watch all the time recommended this. It smells amazing I have the lotion and the Chapstick so I just figured that this will be a good product to for me. I like the body scrub idea but it completely dries out my skin so bad to the point that I'm ashy all over. So I will use this product but probably just once a week.

Will give 3 stars because the smell is deliciously good but this stuff is awful to get out of my white bathtub and to get out of towels. It’s like it stains whatever it touches. I do love the shower gel, bum bum cream and the glow oil but I will not be purchasing this scrub again.

Way too small a size can barely scrub my hands with it.
