My favorite purchase this year!
This little greenhouse it terrific! I love it and have told all my friends and relatives about it so they can get one too.I bought it to "save" tomatoes and herbs in my kitchen garden from freezing too soon. Our nights have dropped to freezing starting the last week of August and I had been going out to cover everything in flannel sheets and comforters every night then going out every morning to uncover them for daytime when it would be hot and sunny. It was just like having kids to put to bed every night and I couldn't leave home without worrying about not getting things covered before the night air got cold. Now I have this greenhouse, I just unzip the doors on the top section to allow for venting if the day is too warm and the air in the greenhouse stays just right even if I don't get home until after dark to zip it up all the way. The plants have really benefited from the added humidity too. I have even dug up some tomaoes, peppers and eggplants from the big garden and potted them in the greenhouse to see what happens. (The big garden has long since succumbed to the cold) They are starting to put out fruit and this greenhouse has given me at least one or two extra months for fresh produce and herbs.Setup was a snap. I did it all by myself in nothing flat and then my husband gave me a hand with the tie downs because we have winds on a regular basis that can pick up a metal garage building and move it several feet. He was dubious about it staying put but by the time we got all the included tie downs in place he has changed his opinion.Since the greenhouse is open on the bottom, I just slid it over my existing plants and then adjusted the position of the "skirting" on walls of my raised bed. After securing the tiedowns, I used some bricks on the outside skirting to secure it around the uneven terrain that I had errected it on. Next I installed the metal frame poles inside (they are just like the modern tent poles and go together within seconds if you read the directions and install them in the correct order. The greenhouse comes in a nifty storage case and collapses down like those windshield sun screens that kinda coil up when not in use. Once my current kitchen garden plants have stopped producing, I plan to store the greenhouse and then set it up in a flat clear spot next spring for an early start on next year's goodies. My terraced kitchen garden filled approximately one half of the greenhouse so I moved some garden shelves into one of the empty quarters and put a large wooden planter of herbs and strawberries in the other quarter. The shelves are holding 2 to 5 gallon pots with the vegetables I saved from the big garden before it froze. I still have more room if I want to fill it completely, but I left an aisle down the middle from one door to the next for now.A little water goes a long way in this structure so I only water 2 - 3 times a week. I have more strawberries now than I had all summer and the tomatoes are really busting out. There are small velcro'd openings for water hoses and power cords built in. I plan to set up a thermal controlled heat light this weekend as our first snow is due in a few days. The doors have mesh screens as well as the polycarb door flaps. There are velcro straps all over for securing both sets of flaps. We are installing a large sunroom/greenhouse to the front of our house next spring so this was the perfect little item for me to try out greenhouse gardening. I expect it to be a handy and useful auxilliary greenhouse for many years to come. No matter if you have a large garden or just a small bed, this greenhouse it really worth it's real estate in getting more from your plants in any climate. If I could, I'd buy several more and use them for cold frames in the big garden next year!

I did the research and I am convinced that this was the right greenhouse to buy!
I love having flowers and plants in our backyard every summer, but hate the task of buying them every year! Well, while housesitting this year, my amazing mother-in-law spent hundreds of dollars adding beautiful flowers and plants to our backyard. So I got the crazy idea of getting a portable greenhouse to help keep them safe during the winter so I don't have to buy new plants in the spring!Even here in Texas we typically get at least one good snow and several days of freezing temperatures. After weeks and weeks of reading reviews on all of the different portable greenhouses, I figured I would give this one a shot.It took me about an hour to put it together ONLY because it was stinking hot outside and every time I tried to go inside the greenhouse to put the poles in, the sweat pored into my eyes. So after several attempts I found that it was easier to leave it laying on the ground when you put the first poles in on the sides. Also - the poles are like tent poles so you do not put all of the links together or you will never get the poles in the little pockets. Leave one of the links separated until you have both ends set into the pockets. You will understand what I am saying when you see it.Based on some of the reviews, I was a little concerned that if I was too rough with it - it would rip or come a part. But even after pushing and pulling and stepping on and yanking, this greenhouse has held its own!I can see if you place it in the middle of your back yard how winds could blow it over or away. The anchoring stakes that come with the greenhouse are not going to keep it in place if it is sitting in the middle of your yard anchored only by them Most people know how windy it gets in their back yard, so take that into consideration when you decide where you want to place this greenhouse. We get pretty heavy winds in our back yard so I wanted to set it up close to some type of structure to help keep it from being hit on both sides. I set it on my patio as my husband didn't want me killing the grass. There are flaps inside and out, all the way around the greenhouse. I actually placed the heavier pots on the inside flaps to keep it secure during high winds. I tied down the outside flaps and used the hooks and ties to secure it to the ground and then tied a couple of ties to my heavy patio furniture. The next day we left town and my mother-in-law house sat for us. Apparently we received a ton of rain and high winds, but greenhouse didn't move! Looks exactly like it did before I left! My mother-in-law had told me not to waste my money buying a greenhouse, but after seeing mine, she ordered one and it was delivered yesterday. The only regret I have is that I didn't order a bigger one as I just now ordered another one to put the remainder of my plants in. Oh and in the 6 days since I put the plants inside, my plants are blooming again. It stays pretty humid in there but I will probably figure out a way to keep it warm during the freezing temps or snow. The geckos love the greenhouse too! However, the only other thing I worry about is that I am noticing a lot of snails (icky). Not sure if that is bad or not... I will have to do some research on that one. This is a great product. Easy to assemble (it doesn't just pop up - but it is easy to put together). I highly recommend this

2 season's review
This is my second spring house, I like the ease in putting up and self supporting is a big plus. I am on the Calif. west coast, close to the ocean, so we can have cool days mixed with hot days depending on the fog influences. Sometimes extending the season 3 to 4 weeks into October really helps with the maximum yield for my tomatoes. So, I bought this green house for two reasons: one to extend the season and two to keep varmints out, skunks, opossums, whiteflies, budworms, cats and so on. It worked well for both problems. I raised the greenhouse another 12 inches by using a frame of 4x4's in the ground with 2x12's strung in between leveled.I took the greenhouse 4" flap (at the bottom) and secured it against the outside of the 2x12's. You should know that this greenhouse really only lasts 2 seasons May through October. First to go, ( fail) are nylon straps in the doorways, they both rotted out by October. I had to use a rope to take the pressure off the door and screen zippers or they will rip Very easily. The door screen also failed the first season. Overall, I like it, I would buy it again, and I noticed this years greenhouse has some structural improvements. Two things to do for sure: make sure you really secure the greenhouse, it is like a sail,( I put cinder blocks on the bottom flap the first season) and two, keep both doors open on hot days.
