Revelation Astro 2.5x Barlow Lens

Quality product, and extremely good value especially considering that apochromatic glass is used. Works well with my eyepieces, though as is the case with most barlows, your experience may vary according to the eyepieces you use. No problems with Telescope House's service; delivery was prompt and item appropriately protected.

I wanted a barlow which wasn't 2x since my three eyepieces were at that ratio. It came promptly. Did have both end caps and a brass compression ring so I shouldn't damage my eyepieces. Came in a small white, not black, box for storage. Pity you can't put a filter on the end of the barlow so you don't need to change the filter (but you can obviously have a filter on the eyepiece itself and change it when you change the eyepiece), hence only 4 stars. Good price and light-weight. First indications are that the quality is good in visual observing.

According to the illustration there should have been more items but only the Barlow lens was in the extra large padded envelope.

A quality item well presented. I overstretched the magnification though, recommending to others to check the maximum magnification the telescope can cope with. I bought a x2.5 Barlow when x2.0 would have been better. The smaller of my two lenses in the Barlow brings superb results. The larger magnification lens, when put in the Barlow, over stretches the capability of the scope.This oversight on magnification on my part does nothing to detract from the Barlow. But I write here to hint that new buyers study the magnifications their telescope is capable of before choosing the Barlow strength.Purchasing the barlow was effortless and efficient.

very good worth the money

I was a little concerned that this lens would be little better than the high street one I already owned. How wrong could I be. Well constructed, providing a super clear image, my stargazing has been taken to a new level, at a price that didn't break the bank.

Currently being used for planetary imaging with a 10" Maksutov telescope, and giving clear crisp images. My favourite Barlow at the moment, well constructed and with good optics.
