Feels like too much thickness variation.
The yarn color is exactly what I wanted; the yarn thickness variation is dramatic to say the least. I generally am okay with the texture change when ti comes to thickness varation because I think it adds character, but this often has chunks of raw un-spun wool right next to thread thin spot leading to large bulges in my projects.I've attached images of this before its worked into the project, when its in the project and the project as it stands.

Soft acrylic roving style yarn which goes from thin to thick and back again and has longer strips of color change
I have crocheted and knitted a number of projects using Red Heart's Unforgettable yarn so when I found the Wave version of the same yarn, I bought it immediately. The yarn is a roving style with a slight twist to it. The yarn has fairly long strips of color changes and also changes from a thin to a thick yarn as well.I always try a new yarn with a crochet project using a half-double crochet. It is my favorite stitch and provides a good body to an item while still staying fairly soft. I decided to do a medium long length scarf that would be on the thin side as I was testing only one skein of yarn. I chained 170 and then did six rows of half-double crochet and was left with a decent amount of yarn to keep for repairs. I used a J size hook though the yarn recommends an I. I wanted a tighter weave so the scarf would have body as it was going to be fairly thin. The finished, unblocked, scarf measures 70 inches by 2 3/8 inches. The skein contains 119 yards and is dye-lotted so be sure to buy as much yarn as you will need at the start of the project. I usually buy an extra 10 to 20 percent to be on the safe side just in case I have to deal with issues with the yarn. The yarn is machine wash gentle cycle cold and tumble dry low. I, personally, would hand-wash and air dry.I did not have any knots in my skein and I was able to use the center pull easily. The finished project has a slight fuzzy look to it but that is what I expect when I am using a roving style yarn. You can easily see the color changes and the change from thick to thin.My J hook worked well with all but the thickest part of the yarn. The yarn says it is a 4 worsted weight but the thicker parts are more what I would call bulky or a 5. The I hook would have worked better for those parts. I gave the yarn a good twist before attempting to hook it and had no problems. If I had not done so, I probably would have snagged the yarn but that is because of my choice of a smaller hook and not anything wrong with the yarn itself. As with regular Unforgettable, the yarn felt fantastic in my hands as I crocheted. I really like this yarn especially for my elder daughter who is allergic to wool. It has a similar look to more expensive wool yarns that I use for my younger daughter and I'm really happy to be able to make similar items for each. In the future, I will purchase at least two skeins for projects and, if I am able to find it at the manufacturers suggested price, it is a great value.

Lovely Textured Yarn
Red Heart yarn is always reliable, and this thick and thin textured yarn works up well. I think it does best in simple designs, like scarves, etc. that showcase the texture. I used mine to make a shawl that has received a lot of compliments. It looks hand spun to me.

Great quality
This yarn is super soft, goes up quickly and has no flaws in the skein, even though it gets very thin at times .It is spun from thin to thick which gives it a unique, rustic and irregular look. Definitely buying again and trying different colors.

Love the colors/ buy soon
My hands do not like smaller yarn now, so I am making a hat and vest combined with two novelty yarns on size 17 needles. I have also ordered the peacock color and want more of their color combinations. I have looked elsewhere including the Red Heart website and suspect they are discontinuing Unforgettable.

Love it
Love this yarn but the variances are very wide. Be sure that what you want to work with it can go from pretty wide to very thin in about three stitches. It doesn't have much yellow and green as in the pictures. I have bought many and have yet to get one like the picture.

Beautiful product
The variation of the yarn thickness was either very thick or very thin...much like when I spin fiber into yarn with my drop spindle... inconsistent.🥴The yarn was much more expensive than I normally pay for the many prayer shawls I have made

Not as nice as the other unforgettable brand yarns. Not as soft. And thicker in general.
Varies from thin to fat I width. Not super soft. Tangles fairly easily.
