However would still highly recommend at current price of £55
(caveat to this review - I got it very cheap. However would still highly recommend at current price of £55.66)This is a great piece of cookware, I've been using it every other day for a little over a month now and it's not dissapointed. Heats evenly (even up the sides, unlike my tefal non-stick pans which remain practically cool to the touch there) and the smooth surface releases food well as long as you use the correct techniques, and the bits that do stick to the pan are just an invitation to make a rich, delicious sauce with them! It also fits easily in my standard 60cm wide oven, which has opened up a lot of hob -> oven recipes to me.I did manage to warp it slightly after walking away from a sauce that was reducing - very much my fault - but I got it to sit true on the hob again after some neighbour-bothering work with a hammer and it's stayed that way since. Apparently all stainless steel pans are at higher risk of this because of the mixed materials used in their construction, so you should just be careful with them, particularly if you are using an electric or induction hob and the ring is smaller than the pan. This is the cheapest tri-ply stainless steel pan you can buy, it seems, and it really doesn't seem that too many compromises were made. A very good option if you want to move away from cooking with non-stick cookware (I also bought a carbon steel pan around the same time which is a lot more faff and I've barely used by comparison).

Great Quality
Excellent build quality and good heat distribution. Easy to clean. It’s a quality pan that seems it will last a lifetime if cared for.

Good once it has been prepared.
It is essential to season this pan before use. There are good You Tube videos showing how to do this. I was initially mislead by the shiny cooking surface and tried to use it without seasoning the pan. Food stuck to it very badly. I seasoned mine using lard and it is now excellent - as good as the best non stick pan and there are no chemicals involved. Unlike carbon steel pans, the pan seasons with no discolouration and can be cleaned using a piece of kitchen roll and a little oil.

Brilliant frying pan.
Brilliant pan. It was so shiny we didn't want to use it at first! This is a great, weighty frying pan, nice large size fits in plenty of food and the sides are high enough to keep the food and a lot of the splatters in the pan. Handle stays cool when cooking. Metal pans are so much better than non-stick - I find when using a sensible amount of oil or a spray the food actually sticks less than it did in my previous non-stick pan after a few uses and any burnt-on food which doesn't soak off easily can be scrubbed off with a steel scourer without damaging the pan.

throw away your non-stick pans.......
Fantastic! I was fed up having to replace 'non-stick, life time guarantee' top of the range pans every couple of years so, after some advice from a chef, decided to try a stainless steel frying pan.If you follow the instructions, use less heat, warm the pan before adding oil/food you won't have any problems with this pan. it's a good size and not too heavy and, even after sausages, bacon and eggs in the same pan at the same time it still wiped clean.Good solid construction and looks as though it will last for years. You may have guessed that I'm really rather pleased with my purchase :)

Looks good, seems good quality
Looks good, seems good quality, and works well. The smaller size (20cm) also means it is easier to fit in the dishwasher. We've managed to burn food onto it and clean it off without problems. I also managed to cook fried egg and get the egg out in one piece a couple of times, despite the pan not having a non-stick surface (the egg did stick a bit). It is rated to be able to go in the oven at any temperature but I've not tried that yet.

Excellent pan
Great pan. Very similar in build quality to the Le Creuset triply, and they do not make a 20cm frying pan that is not non stick. Recommended. A good buy.

Warped
Beka does not respond to warranty inquiries do not buy their products! After having this pan for a couple years it warped on me. The bottom is no longer flat. While Beka says they have a 25 year warranty, and this I think should 100% be covered. They have not responded to any of my attempts to contact them.
