Mini Wifi Smart Plug, No Hub Required ,Voice Control Compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant,Support los and Android App(15A,2pack)

 On a Prime Day several months back I got the Amazon Echo since it was a ridiculously good sale and I figured I’d try it out. After recently finding out from some friends that I can get my house set up as a ‘smart home’ I started looking at ways to begin this process and I wanted to start with lighting to see if I can at least make that work. I also have lights and lamps through out my house so I didn’t want to start worrying about getting these specific ‘smart bulbs’ that I don’t really know anything about. While searching I found this set of 2 and figured I’d see how it went. These are simply 2 plugs that go into your wall socket and you set up within your WiFi network at home and with the Smart Life app that I got at the Apple Store. Step by step directions got me set and I was able to pair this to my Amazon Alexa app and all done! My first project is complete with the lamp in my basement and the lamp in bedroom being connected with either a click on my phone screen or by asking my Echo turn on and off the lights. Since this went as easily as it did I have a feeling this is step 1 of many to outfit my home.

These have to be my favorite purchase from Amazon in the past 6 months. First because there was two and not just one. Second because they are so easy to use with my Echo dot. The main reason I thought of purchasing these was for my children's room so I have control over when the tv can be on and off. This absolutely did the trick I am able to shut it off with just the words "Alexa shut of kids tv". They are super easy to set up with the Echo dot and I think that even if your not the best with technology you can still use these without a problem. Setup was only a few minutes no more then 4 minutes and then you can start using them. I use mine daily and can't wait to get more to put more so I can eventually have everything at the control of my voice.

I now have purchased a two-pack of these twice, and I am in love with them. I bought them primarily to control lighting in my apartment, and they have served that function perfectly. I first ordered them when I purchased an Echo, and thought the whole process to get things set up would be lengthy (I am NOT tech savvy...). I was pleasantly surprised by how well the app for these was organized, and how easy it was getting the plugs to work with my Echo! The first time I hooked everything up, it took about ten minutes. When I decided to automate more of my lights, I got another pack of these. The second time, it took no more than five minutes. I highly recommend this product!

 So far so good! Easy to use, easy to automate. Unlike some other models, those plugs fit together to an outlet (well, almost perfectly), so you don't miss one socket. And the price is good for a pair of plugs.All you need is to be creative when choosing what to connect to them. Not many devices turn on automatically when the power comes up. Our heater and humidifier need an extra button push, so won't work fully automated.

 These little gems are certainly worth a 5 star review. I try alot of products because I'm a tech junkie so these cool plugs really have me excited about the endless nights where I won't have to worry about getting out of bed just to turn the light off...my dream come true. The plugs work with Alexa easily if you use the Smart Link app as the app that comes with the device does not appear to be user friendly. Start by downloading and registering the app and then add the skill to your Alexa by searching for the app name. It is that easy.

I purchased this as a Christmas gift for my mom who didn't begin to use it until January. The unit stopped working tonight (which is 2.5 mths). I tested the light and the outlet and they both work fine. I tried the unit in another plug but seems that the unit just isn't making a good connection. Wi-fi light flicks on pulling it in and out of the socket but doesn't stay on otherwise. Needless to say i'm disappointed this did not last very long (especially since I bought this as a gift). Don't know if it's typical of this brand or just happened to get one of the rare units that go bad, but I have a different brand that I have had much longer with no issues.
