So easy to install. Really gives that modern look to the outside of the house. Really recommend this light.

OK, can't rate this as an outside light so cannot confirm about the weatherproofing. However, I was looking for an up/down light to go above my stairs and couldn't find any I liked so got this. So, why only 4 stars?Its mounting bracket isn't exactly strong, and you have to make the holes for the fixing screws in the light as there are no holes in the plastic already. The small screws for fixing the 'shade' on the mount are awkward due to the small size and need placement above and below, so you need to be able to see top and bottom clearly to fit these. Even with the mount flush on a plaster wall, when fitted there is a gap at the top of the light so the 'shade' fails to fit flush against the wall, while it just looks a bit off inside, I suspect this could be an issue if this is outside with rain/ice.Would prefer an option to purchase either without bulb or with Hue bulb as the supplied bulb will now be either given away or just sit in a cupboard for its lifetime.Overall people do say it does look good, and if told they are surprised it's meant to be an outdoor light.

We extended our 1950's house and had it rendered to look more modern/sharp as well as adding anthracite coloured window frames. These outdoor lights we added at the back to illuminate the deck/patio in addition to any table lighting. They look really sharp and cool.

Look good but needed to buy different bulbs as the ones included were warm white when I wanted bright white

A good value, well made lamp. The photo is a bit misleading, because the unit actually tapers in shape from the back to the front, but this doesn't affect its generally smart appearance. The box includes a sealing ring to stop water getting in around the wires, and a hex key for the screws that fix the mountings.The included bulb is a bit feeble, but you can change this for a Philips LED A60 with the same watts, which is almost twice as bright, the cost for the A60 bulb is about £4.99.Update: I was so pleased that I bought a second one from Amazon; I was disappointed to find that the one delivered was a second hand or returned item in an opened box, with the instructions, sealing ring and hex key missing. This went straight back - no way am I accepting a second hand product.

When tighting the screws on the top and the bottom of the unit, the head of the screws fell off and now the screw is stuck in the plastic frame and is unable to hold up the outer shell. So looks like a poor design choice in terms of proprietry screw and plastic holder.

Looks great and easy to install. I fitted above door also using a photo cell switch. Modern, bright and fit for purpose.

Una bella luce per esterno semplice da montare e che da un effetto sul muro davvero gradevole. Per quello che costa è una ottima qualità prezzo. E in alluminio la parte argentata e in plastica la parte avorio ha anche la lampadina a basso consumo integrata, peccato che non si possa scegliere il colore della luce perché è luce calda.

Alumbran bastante bien, con una luz muy agradable. Lo único es que el plástico blanco se ve de baja calidad para ser Philips. No obstante quedan muy bien y cumplen sun función. Por el precio que tienen está muy bien.
