Easy to Install

I love to look of these smart bulbs, however, they only turn warm white. They change colors just fine but I prefer cool white in some rooms

Even though this is full color, it's "white light" is only amber, not tunable to daylight, bright white or soft white. Other than that it's really cool to look at and the amber color is nice. Works nice in the lampost our front.

This bulb has a great look and vivid colors. If you use the Sylvania app, this bulb has a broad and vivid color spectrum. Within the Alexa settings, you can use default colors. I wish there were a bright white because the default is warm white.What I like:- Within the Sylvania App you can set the bulb to music. Cool feature. Within the app, you can do automation around the outdoor temperature…. Interesting.- It connects to my Alexa with no problem and allows color and brightness changes.- A retro look that brings some pop to a roomWhat I don’t like:- Installation instructions from the side of the box go to a website without a video.Nice to know:- The bulb needs to be more intelligent to pick my 2.4 GHz. I name my 2.4 GHz and 5GHz WIFI networks the same. Most smart items have been able to work with this setup, but for this bulb, I had to put it on my guest network. This is not a significant issue, but just a heads-up.

Before you buy these, know that Sylvania has locked these bulbs behind their proprietary application which requires you to register an account. You can only add these to the Sylvania Smart+ App, they fail every time you’ll try to add them to the Smart Home App. Their App does everything that the Smart Home app does, however, they also collect your user data and you cannot opt out.Funny thing is, the Sylvania Smart+ app is 100% identical to the Smart Home App so much so that it literally looks like they paid some Jr App Dev to simply copy the Smart Home API 100% into their environment so they can collect your valuable user data to sell to their data brokers.I’m done dealing with these consumer unfriendly practices. Sending all 6 bulbs back for a full refund. Would give zero stars if I could for this horribly consumer unfriendly nonsense. Let me add my bulbs to whatever app I want to use as my controller hub.

Great deal, easy set up with smart technology

This Sylvania bulb arrived broken and the pictures reflect that. So it's not the cool double helix you see on the box. The ribbon filament is mounted on a thin glass stem and it snapped during shipment. Neither the shipping box nor the bulb container were damaged in any way, so I'm guessing it's very fragile.I tried connecting the bulb to my network using the generic app I use for everything else, but I couldn't get it to work. So, you have to use the Sylvania wifi app. It's a decent app, and it's easy to use to get your bulb connected.Once you've got the app downloaded and bulb connected, you can control the colors and brightness. You can set it to a schedule if you don't have Google Home or Amazon Alexa to control your lights.It can also sync with music, but I haven't bothered trying that function.Aside from being broken, it's a unique bulb that offers some fun lighting options. In my opinion, it doesn't get bright enough to be a primary lighting source unless you have several in a smaller area.I'd still buy another bc I use it in my bedside lamp and it's plenty of light for that purpose.Take care

These were very easy to set up. Works with google. Was able to set up a schedule. I like it. Says it will last 6 years. My last SYLVANIA light bulb only lasted 2.
