first time user of the 500E. after trimming the two short cords became long and entangled under the mower. can someone explain what has happened?

Does it have a two buttn start mechanism so it will not start accidentally when you pirck it up?

I put the plant guard on first rather than the edging wheel and now I can’t take this off. Any idea?
