I was so excited to receive these and try them out. I figured as bad as my hearing was that I would need to put them on full blast. Unfortunately, event at the lowest setting the ambient noise is unbearably loud. Ten feet away from the t.v. and I'd say my hearing is 10% better, but the ice machine 25 feet away sounds like a slamming hammer with every cube that hits the glass. The vent fan over the stove sounds like an aircraft is in my kitchen. Every step from anyone in the family and I can hear the creaks in the floor.Now my tinnitus is acting like it got a steroid shot and I have a headache.Back to the drawing board...the same quality is at Walmart for less than half the price.

Hearing clearly is becoming a challenge. These hearing aids are not only comfortable to wear all day, but the sound is great. These are easy to charge with the plug in and they last all day. These are well made and a good value for your money. I recommend highly.

When I originally purchased these items, I saw that out of 38,000+ reviews, the grand majority were favorable. What I didn’t notice is that a lot of these reviews had nothing to do with hearing aids. Shame on me. So, if you are looking for something to help you hear better, then, I hope this review with help you.Why should my comments matter? I have significant hearing loss. I have tinnitus. I wanted something to help me hear and before I spent big dollars on the high end hearing aids, I wanted to see how I responded to something on a budget.Overall, the hearing aids are pretty straightforward. You have one for the left and one for the right. You have a charging block. I liked that. You get some extra ear pieces of different sizes. Okay so far. You have an on/off switch for each piece and volume control wheels.Trying them for the first time: overwhelming. You hear EVERYTHING. Well. Where this is good is when you are in a quiet room and cannot hear the TV, radio, or other people. Where this is bad is anywhere there is background noise. Outside: not good as it picks up wind noise. In the car: equally bad since you will hear road noise. Amplified.Other aspects: these do not have any sound dampening features nor do they have Bluetooth that connects them to devices, etc. They are amplifiers in the truest sense of the word and perform that function well. As an all day hearing aid they are profoundly lacking.But for the small amount of money that you pay for these, they may be just the answer you seek but just know the limitations.So far as the 38,000+ reviews, most of which are related to computer bags, that signals an issue of disassociation somewhere.

After I saw mom pulling her ear, and asking for higher volume to watch tv, while wearing her Oticon OPN miniRite with the 100 ear pieces, then measuring the batteries and finding that they were good, and trying her hearing aids myself (I hear very well without hearing aids) I found out that they sounded terribel and probably were programmed incorrectly. Besides, the miniRites use disposable batteriesI got these hearing aids for her, and to my surprise she said that she hears much better with these, than with the prescribed ones, but she still has a hard time understanding.Examining these hearing aids, i found that the plastic parts show stress cracks, and most likely will fall apart pretty soon. I also noticed that the speakers inside the ICR (in channel receivers) were not seated properly, as if they had been assembled in a rush.I will be returning these to exchange them for others that have different programs.

I got this my sister and she had trouble with static. I haven’t spoke with her about any other problem.
