Simply Brilliant
Fantastic tripod, I purchased the K-20X ball head with it for use with a D800. This tripod is extremely well made with great attention to detail. The twist lock legs (once you get used to twist locks) are much quicker than the levered ones and you can undo them all in one go on each leg with one twist - no more pinched fingers. The center column splits into 2 very quickly allowing you to use just the very short section for ground level shots - the short section is only a couple of inches so perfect. Without using the center column and legs fully extended it is eye level to my 5.5ft. There is a well made carry case with padded shoulder strap or you can just attach the strap to the tripod and sling it over your shoulder. The tripod is very light and very well engineered.

just what I wanted
I wanted to have only one tripod, what I can use for macro photography, but can hold a heavy lens also if it needs to. I have a sigma 150-500mm lens and a Nikon d7100 camera and it's not a problem for the tripod at all. Easy to convert into a monopod and it's very stable and light. After lots of research I made the best decision. Don't hesitate to buy it.

Fabulous value
Recently bought this tripod with a K30x head and am thrilled with it. The tripod is light, easy to assemble, rock solid, and will comfortably fit in standard carry-on luggage. One leg is easy to detach for use as a monopod. The tripod easily bears the weight of either a Canon 6d or 7d with any of the 16-35 f4 is, 24-105 f4 is or 70-200 f2.8 is lenses. The build quality is superb, there is a six year warranty and I cannot foresee any reason to require any other tripod for many years to come. Highly recommended for keen amateur photographers like me.

Not suitable for a big lens DSLR combo.
This product has multiple design faults that preclude heavy use.The central column has a tendency to separate and renders its unstable when extended with my DSLR and 200-400mm lens. The twist mechanism for unlocking the legs doesn't really work in the field.I have a fear of not over tightening them and I have experienced a tendency for them to 'undo' and require intermittent tightening. One of the legs fell off , about a month into my birding trip. There is an internal plastic cuff, which is supposed to limit the extended leg coming off completely.I assume a part of the plastic broke, as it failed to stop the bottom 2 segments of the leg separating completely from the top segment. The problem could be managed by unscrewing the 'twisting' cuff off and re-inserting the internal plastic cuff and leg segment , and then tightening the outer cuff. Not quite what you would expect to have to do with 300 pounds worth of tripod! The hook on the bottom of the central column is useful.Th carrying bag it came with was much less useful, the tripod doesn't fit in it with the head on! I think the angle of the legs is a little acute. They have gained height at the expense of stability. It blew over a couple of times in the wind.On the whole this has been a disaster for me. Thankfully, Cley Spy,who I bought this off, took it back without any additional hassle.
