Great Earphones, Don't Do What I Did
DISCLAIMER : Giving my opinion of the product. You may disagree, but this is not a review of the product on the whole. This is just my personal experience with the product.Let me start by saying that the cause of any negative experience with these earphones was due to my own negligence. I don't blame Sennheiser in any way, I just want to warn people who may try the same as I did. Do NOT use these earphones with any other "gel cushions" (the black soft bits that go in your ear) apart from the ones supplied for these earphones. You will notice that the ones supplied with these earphones are not completely hollow, they have a line of rubber directly down the middle of the hole. This is to stop the sharp bit of metal on the other side of the cushion from stabbing you in the ear. I decided to swap the cushions out for ones that were supplied with my previous earphones, and they did not have this safety feature. Whilst walking to work I had to readjust my earphones and pushed them into my ears. The metal stabbed me in the ear and I got an ear infection. There is a tiny piece of foam wadding inside the metal cylinder (DO NOT REMOVE THIS AT ALL, YOU WILL NEVER GET IT BACK IN) and this somehow came dislodged into my ear at the time. This was a painful experience that can be avoided if you just use the earphones with their intended cushions. I learnt my lesson and used these for months afterwards with no complaints, but as the foam wadding had been removed into my ear there was a significant loss in sound quality over time. I imagine this is a buildup of debris entering in, which is why they have this wadding in the first place. I'm not one to question audio profressionals like Sennheiser, but I feel that the classic "metal grill" style design may have been better.Regardless of this, they are amazing earphones. Extremely clear, good sound quality and great bass response. They isolate a ton of noise and seem very resilient (I have had several "accidents" with the cable and nothing has been stressed or broken). Some people may be annoyed at the fact that there is no mic/volume control, but I think Sennheiser did this for sound quality purposes and longevity. Less parts = less things that can break over time. Also I imagine by omitting this, they could keep the price point down. For the price they are extremely good quality. I have a pair of ATH-M50Xs, and I happily swap between the two with no complaints. Obviously the over-ear headphones win for sound quality, but I'd say that if you're walking around a lot and you want earphones that isolate noise and don't sound terrible, get these. My one negative would be the outer material of the cable. It's made from a slightly higher friction material than most of the lower end earphones I have used before. Due to this I noticed that when walking with my phone in my pocket, the cable would grip between my clothing and pull the earphones slightly out of my ear which increases the need for readjustment (which is how I got into the whole "ear infection" mess). Changing to the larger gel cushions helped a lot with this, and staying aware of how much slack there was between my ears and the point of tension.

Awesome bargain! High quality, attractive earbuds for excellent reproduction and comfort.
I recently lost a set of Sennheiser CX400s which I used primarily at the gym or in coffee shops to obliterate background noise. It really niggled me losing these as I'd got used to the high quality sound they reproduce but I wasn't prepared to stump up the sixty-odd quid they presently cost, particularly not as I might go and lose them again, so it seemed a good time to risk a newer but less expensive model and I have not been disappointed - indeed, I would rate these higher than the CX400 although they may well be technically inferior. The CX 3.00s are nicely packaged in a hard carry box with a good selection of different sized silicone buds to allow a good audio seal to the ear. The newer design is quite attractive and has a distinctive handed kink to both left and right earpieces and this kink works wonders! The old 400s were slightly more compact but suffered with slight loosening in the ear canal when moving, so over time - particularly at the gym - the audio seal would be lost and reproduction degrade before needing adjustment. It might just be my ear canal shape, but the kink allows the 3.00s to be inserted much more securely with a good and long lasting audio seal resulting in better audio for longer. I don't really think I can tell the difference between either (and, of course, I've lost the others..) But to me, the 3.00s are every bit as good as the 400s and overall perform better due to their significant stability advantage. The 400s did have the sliding volume control but I'd say this is a negligible adder. The 3.00s give a solid bass delivery (which I wanted) and all other aspects of audio are excellent. The elliptical section cord is definitely less tangle prone than the older 400s too, so I have the same or better audio, a better and more consistent, comfortable fit and in a funky red metallic for (currently 25 quid) less than half the price of the 400s I had been happy with for about two years. I could buy.a second pair and have cash leftover... and in fact, I think I might while they're on offer! Brilliant! I love 'em!

After having a pair of CX300 IIs for 2 years, they had finally served their time (after having being cut by accident by a certain family member). I looked around for a successor to my loyal and reliable headphones, and decided it prudent to stay within the lineage of Sennheiser products. Obviously, there would only be 1 product to do the job, the Sennheiser CX 3.00.The first thing to notice is the product arrives inside a very small, conservative box which once opened contains only the carry case and some user information. The carry case is poor, if held upside down and shaken enough the lid will fall off. I was rather disappointed with this. The second disappointment would be the design of the product, which although looks heaps better than it's predecessor, lacks an element of premium feel, perhaps with the cheap cabling being the factor that ruins this. Now with the bad stuff out of the way, the good thing is that the CX3.00 still sound great, the mids are stronger than in the CX300s and the base albeit weaker is still punchy. The noise cancellation is 20-30% worse than the cx300 ii but still adequate and the earbuds can fall out of ones ears.Overall, a product that should last me two years, and if not Sennheisers warranty should do me good! One thing to note is that I bought this product for £24.99, I wouldn't pay a penny more!

Great sound. Very comfortable
Really good. I forget i have them on, if it wasn’t for the wire.Easy yo get replacement buds. After a while, the cable started to perish which was a shame as the headphones still worked. Worth the money.

Good value.
I recently purchased a set of momentum II headphones. When my daughter asked for some ear buds I jumped on these as they were on sale for black Friday. When they arrived I authenticated them through the Sennheiser website. Christmas she opened them and seemed happy enough. Later that day I became a hero. She loves them. I put on a larger sized gel and listened to them to see if they were that good. Yes. They are pretty good. The treble and mids are crisp and precise, like sennheisers should be. They suffer from a lack of base, partially overcome by aN equalizer app. Not that they have absolutely no base, they just are week in the base response. However, for what I paid, I was still very happy. So for the price, I won't dock a star. I kind of knew what I was getting.
