My Father who the sweets were for was not that impressed with the authenticity of the majority of the sweet selection.

Dreadful waste of money

The reminiscing would be great with this product if they were wrapped as they were originally and labelled so you knew what each product was. My parents genuinely didn’t have a clue with most of the items. Well packaged but ultimately left feeling it was a normal sweet selection with no references to a time period

I ordered this for my husband as a stocking filler and he loved it. He remembered all the things from his childhood and has enjoyed all the nostalgic tastes so far. It comes in a lovely strong box with a great sticker on it as shown on the Amazon picture.The contents were as described and there is a good selection nicely packaged. I suppose if you sat and worked out the cost of the sweets they do work out a tad expensive but I think the way that they are packaged and put together makes this a great gift and a special reminder of days gone by. I would buy these again for friends and family.

A good selection of sweets that were well received by my elderly mother, but I agree with the other reviewers that the packaging could be made much more interesting and nostalgic, which is the name of the game with a present like this. Facsimile advertising posters from the 40s? Newspaper headlines from 40s papers? Anything to engage people a little more.

Birthday present spot on good value

No problems with delivery, quality and presentation. A bit disappointed with the selection and the fact that they were not really a very good reflection of what we were buying with or pennies in the late forties and fifties. Overall I thought they were expensive for what you get.
