Epic built
This thing is built solid as a tank. Feels so much more expensive than the cheap plasticy feeling 502 even though the sensor in that is faster. I have owned one of these for around 5 years now and used it to travel as my second mouse. I couls not be happier. The buttons are nice and clicky and scroll wheel is simply the best and the simplicity of the design makes it super intuitive to work with.Unfoetunalty after so much use and abuse the wires has come out of the housing (without disconnecting the mouse works fine) and are now exposedThere is rubber on both sides of the mouse making it nice and gripy giving you a stable grip even when sweating. The sensor has been reliable in my experiences on nearly every surface (even glossy ones) making perfect for traveling and using wherever.I would have this over the g502 any day, even though from an objective standpoint the g502 has better features and is overall more gaming oriented. The build of this mouse is even better than my more expensive Roccat Tyon. The software is intuitive and the colours are bright. The achievements thing the software has can give you quite the jumpscare (those who own this mouse will know what I'm talking about) but that feature is not turned on by default and can be easily turned off through the software. The response time is as good as any high end wired mouse.Overall, I bought it again to replace my dying one and if you have the money you should buy it too.

Great mouse. the braided cable is thin enough so its not too stiff, the owl eye optical sensor is absolutely amazing, feels great gliding on my cloth mouse pad, sturdy build. some lighter colours on the rgb strip look washed out, but the darker colours look amazing

So far mixed feelings
So I have own Roccat Kone Pure (laser), Deathadder (original), Steelseries rival 300 and now this... Had high hopes after using the Roccat kone pure for about 3-4 years its my favorite of the 3 but a bit small and yea laser sensor.FIRST IMPRESSIONS:Pros:-Optical Sensor is fantastic, to me seems very accurate and smooth-L & R buttons have a fantastic clicky feel-Build quality is perfect no rattle or anything super solid-seems very comfortableCons-Software supposed to be a bit buggy, but for me its fine so not rly a con i guess its still way better than what they had imo-mouse wheel scroll feels... soft, slow, undefined, not precise. Its hard to explain but its not like a click into the next notch which i like for switching weapons in the heat of the moment. Its not great just ok.-I cant decide if i hate this new texture they got on the mouse (compared to roccat kone pure), if its cold in the house and my hands are a bit cold the mouse is very slippy, warmer its ok and fairly grippy. I don't think I like the feel of it and that's a huge part of a mouse for me, the feel... just feels very plastic (similar to my trackpad) when ive become used to rubbery plastic materials that feel fantastic in the hand (looking at you my other 3 mice)So im thinking of taking this back and getting a mionix caster which was my 2nd choice, but i thought id go with what i know which was roccat products and it turned out to be not quite what i was expecting in the materials department.Ill give it a bit of time and update this review...UPDATE:So i used the mouse for about 5 days (take that as you will) I feel that my criticism of the scroll wheel was harsh its actually pretty good. I ended up getting the Mionix Castor with the intention of keeping the one i liked most. So after some fairly lengthy gaming sessions swapping between each mouse per round of overwatch & CS:GO. I ended up almost flipping a coin. Both are great, but focusing on the Roccat its overall a great mouse and for me the only things letting it down for me is its a bit on the heavy side (minore negative as its not too heavy, just a tad) if you are doing fps sort of games and the materials (my main problem) feel a bit cheap and i prefer the feeling of a rubberized texture. The mionix castor ticks these boxes so i ended up going with that. However if you feel that the plastic textures over rubber grippy mice and a tiny bit weightier mouse is fine i would totally recommend this mouse. I would say it is a very decent jack of all trades kind of mouse and would probably be awesome if your into fps, mobas, stratages etc its a good overall device.Upped to 4 stars but for me its a 3.5-4 star kind of mouse depending on your preferences.

Is the EMP an upgrade to the XTD
For anyone who considering buying the EMP this is the upgrade for the XTD. It has a lot of the original buttons but this mouse is a lot light and more plastic feeling compared to the XTD. You will need to download the swarm program that lights up the mouse (which is free). But overall this mouse is pretty nice and it is some what an upgrade but down grade in my personal opinion compared to the XTD.As for durability I will have to wait and see.

Gaming mouse perfection
Great mouse very well constructed with great RGB lights, with the swarm software you can set up custom profiles for the RGB lighting and also the dpi settings, very comftable mouse to use with an amazing sensor.

Good mouse, potentially awkward/uncomfortable shape
The quality is there, everything is great about the mouse, but it's shape is just too awkward and uncomfortable for some

Best mouse I ever used
This is probably the best mouse I ever had, and I used many. It’s perfect for palm gripping for those with medium to large hands. I just wish to see this exact version of the mouse in a wireless option in the future.

Best mouse for melee slasher
If you play games like Mordhau or Chivalry then this is the best mouse to use due to its well built scroll wheel. The ergonomics of the mouse are great, it has a deep thumb groove that feels great in the hand. This scroll wheel will last much longer than its competitors. Great seller as well.

More than five years and I keep buying more
Whenever I'm at a new workplace or give one to a friend, I keep buying more of these. They are reliable and great mice. Fantastic response time and DPI settings. smooth on the desk. Although this model is new, it is just an improvement on a prior model that I also loved. They did not change the overall form factor or the button placement, fortunately!

Große Gaming Maus, perfekt für meine Ansprüche
Danke, Roccat! Eigentlich schon alles, was man wissen muss.
