Best of the bunch
Great product. I'd previously bought the original linx7 when it was released, and it was quite literally having full blown Windows 10 in your pocket. That was a real game changer for me, but small ram and storage made it really difficult to keep up to date with more recent Windows updates, and whilst I still have it, it feels limited and slower. This 820 is a totally different prospect. More ram and storage, plus 5ghz wireless take away all of the problems with the previous model and make this a seriously good product. You've also got Xbox one and xcloud connectivity which work really, really well.I'd also bought a chuwi tablet with a similar spec to the 820, and I was pretty happy with that at the time, but the performance and build qualitywith the chuwi was nowhere near this good.I'm not sure how this compares with a much more expensive device like a surface, but I was looking for something with decent win10 and Xbox one performance, as well as being inexpensive and very portable. This ticks all of those boxes.Very happy with this. Bought mine secondhand from Amazon seller, so took a chance but I'm really glad I did.

Lasted less than 12 months.
I thought it was going to be OK, but recently it has refused to restart (restart just results in a shutdown). Well, I could have lived with that, but then the display started to show problems with not being evenly illuminated. However, this morning, when I came to switch it on, the display has failed completley (just a faint flickering glow) and it's not quite 12 months old yet. Not sure if I can get a free replacement as it ought to still be within warranty.

Great all round 8 inch tablet.
I have been using this tablet for a few months now. I was disappointed to find that it does not have the two full size USB ports as stated in the description however its performance outweighs this reduction in functionality. The 2gb RAM makes a difference in comparison with other 8 inch tablets. The Windows 10 OS is a big plus although you do need to manage your programs efficiently with only around 28gb of real HDD space. An additional SD card is essential. Multiple programs can be run simultaneously however there is the occasional lag. One big advantage is the stereo speakers which is much louder than any of the other Linx models. This makes it much more enjoyable when playing games and watching movies without the need for headphones. A good buy if you're looking for a compact tablet at a reasonable price.

Not very impressed
No Bluetooth connection with laptop, went flat overnight and now won't switch on or charge. My advice... spend a bit more and buy a decent one!

Not possible to install the Creator Edition of Windows 10
The Linux 820 works very well in all respects with one important exception - installing the latest edition of Windows 10, namely "Creator". I had already installed it on 5 other devices including the excellent Linx 7 with no issues at all. However in the case of the Linx 820 there is a major issue with the download. It downloads it fully and apparently works ok. However after switching off, when it is switched on again, it doesn't. It can only be restarted with it plugged into the power cord together with doing an emergency reboot. After trying several times, it is evident that the software thinks the battery is flat when it isn't. Having looked on the internet, I found that others are having the same problem with the Linx 820 & 1020 models. So it looks like Linx need to get their act together. Semi happily, when going back to the previous version of Windows 10, which the upgrade permits one to do, then everything works fine again. In conclusion, 1. If upgrading to the "Creator" edition is important to you then DON'T BUY THE LINX 820, at least at the moment. 2. Don't delete the widows old file to save space until you are certain the Creator version is working ok.
