HPC4900A 940 Original Printhead, Black and Yellow, Pack of 1

I had a problem with the old printhead being blocked as I had used an older black cartridge (Note to self - do not stock up on ink cartridges, without a proper rotation in the stationery cupboard otherwise you end up with ink cartridges way past their used by / expired date). My printer had complained a few times that the ink cartridge was beyond its expired date, but I just thought it was standard HP get more money tricks. Turns out if you choose to use an ink cartridge well past its expired date the ink gets very thick and can block your printhead (I think), such that even a fresh new cartridge will not print.I ordered the expensive replacement printhead and the problem was instantly solved - so one happy customer with a lesson hard learned.....from now on I will just buy ink cartridges when I need then, and not have ink cartridge stock in the stationery cupboard (Amazon get them to you within a day or so from order anyway).

Not much I can say other than this was bought as a replacement for a 5year old failing print head in my Office Jet Pro 8500. It replaced directly with minimal fuss and the printer automatically calibrated and aligned following insertion. I have printed with it and the quality is exactly the same high quality I had before the other head started to fail. One thing preventing 5 stars is the ridiculously expensive price tag especially as I was replacing both print heads!

This printhead rescued my ailing HP Officejet 8500. The printheads are expensive in my reckoning, However I didn't want to ditch a printer that had been working and up till now had given trouble free service.

The items were described as "Original HP printhead SET...". The printheads arrived, on time, in a padded envelope, but with the individual packaging removed. After installing the print heads, it became clear why: the HP warranty date had expired (April and May 2013 respectively). Although the print heads work fine (for the moment) I have no idea what this means for the expected life time of the print heads. The product description should mention that expired products are sold without the original packaging. If I had known this in advance I would have chosen to pay more for a packaged product that is still under warranty.

With this final part of the printing mechanism I am really pleased with the effect of the new print heads, no more hanging around waiting for a clean up just move one and get the work done.

Yes you can save some extra cash when you don't buy an OEM product, but you'll often find you don't get what you had expected. While HP original ink products and printheads may be more expensive they do work properly 100% of the time!

Llego bien empacado y ha funcionado perfectamente.

This new one worked as expected and fixed my printing issue.My printer stopped printing Yellow, and I had a full yellow cartridge. When I aligned the cartridges, I got a print head error. When I replaced the print head with this new print head, everything worked great. I did not know that print heads expire! This new one was great! Fixed the problem I had and the best part was it arrived super fast, it was easy to replace and I was up and running again.

Il giallo non stampava e per cercare di rimediare ho consumato tanto inchiostro per la pulizia delle testine, gli inchiostri, lo devo dire sono troppo, troppo cari (hai capito HP?). Quando ho acquistato la testina di stampa per la "PRO 8500A" della HP non sapevo se avrei buttato via i soldi o se avrei rimediato al problema. fortunatamente appena montata tutto si è rimesso a funzionare regolarmente! Un cenno lo devo fare per la TECNO TONER ITALY da cui attraverso Amazon ho acquistato il prodotto. sono stati rapidi e molto precisi.

I have an HP OfficeJet 8500A printer that I bought a little over six years ago. It has been printing poorly the last several months, and after changing the ink cartridges I still had a problem where it would only print in magenta. I tried cleaning the printhead and using the "align printhead" and "clean printhead" tools in the printer, but neither of these helped.I didn't realize the printhead was something you needed to change periodically, so I ordered this hoping it would fix my problem. I was a bit skeptical after reading other reviews.I ordered the magenta/cyan printhead as well as the black/yellow printhead, so I'm leaving the same review for both of them.I'm happy to say that installing the printheads fixed the problem and now I can print just as well as when I first got the printer, and the printer doesn't need to go to the printer graveyard.
