So it went like this:Bought one for my daughter (Aqua blue) Liked it a lot - Nuts about Owls. "That's nice says wife."Bought one for wife (Pink one, above) 'I like that.' says Eldest son, 'holds a good amount'Bought one ...........You get the idea. So five cups later plus a replacement for a breakage and still in everyday usage after two years.Yes, Chardonnay, I get what you mean - perfect for making a good cup of tea then not having to get up for another, if feeling fragile.Sure, they aren't bone china but because of the size I'm not sure how bone china would stand everyday use and constant dishwasher. I'm sure there will be wiser than me to clarify this point. Of course tea does taste better out of bone china according to tea lovers but I don't think this cup is too heavy. I really don't like a really thick walled cup may be it works opposite to the bone china?!These are a perfect trade off, thin enough to feel good and light but heavy enough to withstand day to day use, with a nice pattern and variety of colours.

I bought three of these mugs , one each pink, blue and purple. Don't be misled into thinking they are fine bone china as they are more like earthenware - they are also quite large to use as mugs unless you really like your tea and coffee ! Having said that the pattern is really pretty and delicate and the colours are nice so I decided to keep all three and use them as soup mugs.

I love this mug! It has such a beautiful pattern. It holds a good size mug of tea and the shape is ideal. I ordered 2 and one came broken but it was replaced within 2 days. I have also bought 2 blue mugs in this pattern and they are also perfect.

I bought mine a few years ago and compared to other mugs and cups these seem to chip much more easily than others. I cannot believe how often I come to drink out of one of them and find something else wrong. Apparently these are no longer available which could be as a result of this weakness in its durability. Loved the size, shape and pattern a lot.

Lovely design, well made but just a little heavier than I'd expected with it being described as "fine" china.

Lovely mugs, attractive patterns, light to hold and are a good size. I have several different 1s and they wash well in the dishwasher.
