Unlikely to be usable
I'll probably return this. The plus is that it is made of fairly strong silicone so you can (hopefully) continue to pull it on to your head without tearing it. The minus is that despite photos of happy swimmers with the cap over their ears, it doesn't fit over my ears. Well it almost does, if I really really pull at it. Measuring it against my normal swimming cap, which ends above my ears, there is only about one inch more material, if that -- and only at one point -- so I am baffled that swimmers manage to get this cap over their ears.My advice is -- if this is too small for you, measure it and then find a couple of large swimming caps where they provide the measurements, so you can make sure you get a bigger cap. There is one I saw with about 15 cms more of material. That should fit me. Look for an Open Sea cap -- you can get them with straps that go under your chin. One make has a non-adjustable strap, another has a velcro strap. If you feel the cold, get a cap with a thermal lining.I am a very inexperienced swimmer in my 70s, so we are not talking about swimming the Hellespont. I just find I enjoy the swim more if I can have a decent cap, a nose clip, ear clips (which wouldn't be necessary if this really did cover my ears) and decent goggles (the ones that look like skiing glasses -- they work better and make a surprising amount of difference).

Good but not brilliant
I have quite long hair and have found previous swim hats to be very tight round my ears and start to ride up my head soaking my hair. I've used this about 8-9 times now and it fits well and is very comfortable. Although it feels quite loose on my head it seems to keep my hair slightly dryer than others. Can't comment on the ear protection as I wear swimming ear plugs but they no longer get squashed.I've only given it 4 starts as although it fits well, as its advertised for long hair it would benefit from being a bit bigger to accommodate my hair.

Okay as a hat, but not convinced about preventing water into the ears.
Looks and fits great out of the water with the ears accomodated in the side buldges nicely.Once in the water and starting to swim the lower part of the hat below the ears, flaps up allowing water into the ears. Either because of twisting movement of the neck as you breath or from the air pressure difference from air trapped in the hat - impossible to fully remove. Even trying to remove air from the ear and pushing the hat into the ear didn't prevent the hat flapping up.

but I'm a bit disappointed with it
Sick of having to interrupt my swim to pull my swimming cap down over my ears, I thought I'd give this a try. This swimming cap does cover my ears, but I'm a bit disappointed with it. The silicone is thinner than rival brands and it doesn't fit snugly. The inside isn't textured so doesn't grip onto your head very well. I have to wear another swimming cap over the top to hold it in place.

Perfect fit
The Fitspec Silicone Swimming Cap is the best swimming cap I have ever bought. I was sceptical at first as I find that other swimming caps don't fit properly and 'ping' off in the water, especially when I do backstroke! However, this cap is a perfect fit. It was relatively easy to get on, fitted perfectly and stayed in place, no matter what stroke I was doing in the pool. Unlike other swimming caps, it held firm but it did not give me headache by gripping too tightly. Yes, it did let some water in, but it never claimed to be 100% waterproof. However, I found that my hair was nowhere near as wet as normal when I took the cap off. All in all I'm a very satisfied customer.

I'm satisfied, generally
I've found it a little too big and does need a but if adjustment at times. However, I'm satisfied, generally, with this product and find my ears are more comfortable within it than a latex one I had been using. I'm still gliding in the water well with it and I don't experience it moving position while I'm swimming.

Delivery was rapid, and the cap is certainly good quality tough latexHowever I have very thick hair and the cap does not quite keep the water outIt would be good to have an extra large size as some of us have large heads and a lot of (and in my case) medium length hairIt may help to have a strapPam WalkerA daily pool swimmer

A well fitting swimming cap however the flaps that go around your ears does lift up so it does not protect your ears, also when I removed the cap my hair was very damp/a bit wet. I have colored hair so needed to protect the pool and myself, my hair dye did not bleed into the pool thankfully as my hair was not fully wet or submerged in the water.
