Robins & Great tit tucking into the Suet Nuggets in the peanut ...
Its the first time I've bought these and as they were a reasonable price I got 2. The nuggets arrived packaged in a plastic tub with a handle. when I opened the tub there wasn't any rancid smells that you sometimes get from fat balls and they were intact. They are quite a large size at 2 cm diameter by 3cm in length and are moist. I decided to put a few in a peanut feeder in order to stop the larger birds from gobbling them up before the smaller birds get a look in. In less than 12 hours there was a feeding frenzy of smaller birds such as Blue tits, Robins & Great tit tucking into the Suet Nuggets in the peanut feeder. They are very versatile so could be put on a bird table or ground feeder for the larger birds but they will not last as long. When the tubs are empty they will make good storage containers for bird food or small garden equipment. These Peckish Suet Nuggets definitely get the "thumbs up" from the birds and I'm sure will be very popular with them over the cold winter months!

Very happy birds - worth the money!
All birds love them. It is expensive but well worth it and there are always deals to be found on Amazon. I keep one feeder in the open to attract the bigger birds and another tucked away in a shrub for smaller birds. The metal Peckish nugget feeders have lasted well over three years and for some unknown reason squirrels leave them alone. Nuggets are of perfect size, do not crumble and do not freeze in cold weather. I do not feed suet in hot weather so cannot comment on how it performs. The plastic tubs can be re-used as containers or turned into plant pots. I spray mine with specialist stone look-a-like paint and place them along the border so they double as raised beds too. It would be nice to have an option of a bigger tub, both as a better value and versatility.

The birds love these if you can afford them anymore!
The birds love these, trouble is, so do the greedy Starlings and they manage to empty 2 bird feeders per day. Just noticed the price has jumped up £5 since August, wow, what a greedy company.UPDATE, These have now jumped up another £4 since Christmas which means they have more than doubled in price, (£8.62p in fact) since August, What a greedy company CLEARSTONE TRADING are.

The most popular food I put out
This is a good sized plastic tub of suet nuggets for birds that provides much needed sustenance, particularly at this time of year when there is less natural food around. Placed on a ground feeder it attracted Robins, Sparrows, Dunnocks, Blackbirds and the odd Bluetit and Thrush – plus numerous Wood Pigeons and Starlings, which meant the initial supplies were quickly exhausted. In a hanging feeder, Long-tailedTits were attracted although the Pigeons and Starlings had a feast there as well. The nuggets are solidly made and don’t fall apart as soon as it rains, so there is no waste and less to clean up. The nuggets seem to be more popular on a ground feeder although that does mean larger birds will take more of the food unless you use one of the cages that only allow access to smaller ones.It has proven to be sufficiently popular that I have already put in orders for further supplies; the tub will ensure the nuggets stay fresh and safely away from the attention of any mice until it is time to put them out for the birds. A bonus is that the tub is stackable and reusable for storage for other bird food products once empty.Update May 2018I am still buying this regularly as it is the most popular food that I put out. I have a Crow and Jackdaw feasting daily on these rather than other birds, along with several squirrels (again encouraged in the hope they take fewer eggs and bulbs) and now a fox has joined the ranks of night-time visitors alongside the hedgehogs. All birds seem to like this - all of the Tit-family, Robins, Blackbirds, Thrushes, Blackcaps, Sparrows, Collared Doves and Pigeons (okay the latter two will eat anything) are along every day and accompanied by their young at the moment. Even my cats eat it, although I suspect that may be more in the hope they will grow wings than anything else. I was even treated to a pair of Red Wings at the table during the last snow, again attracted to these treats (as well as the odd apple).I would try them and see how you get on, only putting a couple out at first to give time for word to spread. It won't take long if here is anything to go by and then you will be inundated with feathered visitors, plus hedgehogs and foxes if you are lucky.UpdateI have now had a woodpecker along to eat these from the ground feeder. I seem to be getting all of the broods along to feast at the table to the extent I am topping up three times per day, although the large crow is probably responsible for a lot of that. At least the seagulls haven’t spotted it yet... yet.

The birds appear to love them
We have tried a few different fat/suet snacks in our feeders, with limited success. I often ended up throwing them away as the birds simply didn't eat them. I tried a pack of Peckish Daily Goodness Nuggets and it was a totally different story! A regular stream of blue tits, great tits, sparrows and hordes of starlings soon became frequent visitors - we even had a few visits from a great spotted woodpecker - a bird I had never before even seen in the area! An excellent product.

The birds love it.
I have absolutely no problem opening the container, just break the plastic piece on the corner and lift off the lid. Very sad to see an excellent product being given only 2* due to problems opening the box. Most important thing THE BIRDS LOVE IT.

Read this first!
Such a disappointment! Ordered this without having any idea of the actual size of an individual nugget but drawn by the idea of having a lidded box. MISTAKE! I couldn't prise the lid off even after discovering the corner where the lid was intended to be lifted. I ended up chipping bits off with scissors which eventually gave me access but there should have been clearer instructions. If I had known how large these nuggets were (NB advice hidden in storage section on label - says use within 3 months of opening) I wouldn't have ordered them.

Hungry Birds
My birds absolutely love these. I put them in peanut feeders BUT the Jackdaws eat the lot in a day (3 feeders) and the smaller birds can't get a look in, so at the moment I am not putting them out until the babies have definitely flown the nests. Inundated with them and they are so greedy! I highly recommend these. Despatch was very quick too. Thank you.
